But each patch can have it's own arpegiator assigned to it either one that comes pre programmed or you can program your own up to 64 steps mono or poly, it's like have a seperate sequencer for each part. The supernova is 8 part multi, the nova,6. It's like having 8 or 6 synths in one. I've owned one for about a year and I love it, awesome synth.
Cool tones - what is the sequencer / drum machine? Is that a stacked track or a one-pass performance? Curious because I am thinking of buying one. Awesome sounds.

So sorry for the late reply - I paid £150 for mine but I didn't realise there is a version 2 with FM synthesis. The beauty of it is that you don't need to know much, the manual is very easy to understand but it is a case of 'just start twiddling knobs!'. Everything is run by MIDI so you can record the tweaks you do as sysex data on any sequencer. It sounds big, deep and lush next to Roland kit! Check out the X-Station 25 too.

Such a cool synth. Make no diff if its the Nova, SN1 or SN2. If you cant make it do good stuff the problem is the user not the synth.
Like 8 separate poly synths in one.

all the sounds that you can hear are from the supernova. No external devices except a midi keyboard as a controller.

JUst bought one myself, same deal - £300. These cost 5 times that when new. Cheaper than buying all the synths it can reproduce.
