@Sinelnyy No Russia's winter did. The story goes is that the Russians fought him but were overwhelmed by his tactics and such. What they did is retreat and burn all food or resources he could have sued for his army. They took Moscow but they had to leave because the Russains didn't counterattack. As he retreated their winter pounded his army into nothing. 1/10(I think)of his army made it back to France. So Russians Winter claimed victory. That also what happened to Hitler in WW2.

If you study that Battle, you see that Napoléon, in the first part of the battle, didn't lose at all. For one day. The English were failing to beat Nap'. Napoleon was born on Korsika wich was the teritoriy of Genoa and was sold or taken (not sure) by the french in 1767. An interesting information is that Napoleon could have had a military carrer in England but his father refused that idea beacuse he was a revolutionary (of what kind i dont remeber, it was a long time I studied Napoleon) and hes political issuses were alot closer to France than En.

In some kind of revolution that his father was part of (as I said in previous comment, i dont remember all the detailes). His father obviusly chose the good side hence the surname. Read the book about Napoleon by Steve Englund, its a good one. By the way, Im from croatia and that book is the only good book about Napoleon. Not enough book are translated to croatian about napoleon so my knowelge is limited.
