Riot police only show up when there is a riot...in RESPONSE to the people getting out of control. It would be very irresponsible for police not to be prepared for anything. I watched the other two videos you referenced and both of them begin as the police show up so we have no idea what the protesters are doing BEFORE they get there. Gotta look outside the box man. People read books like 1984 and watch movies like V fo Vendetta and then go out and pretend that there's something to revolt when really they're just making it up in there heads.

I was there every night, every protest - even the rage show. The police did an amazing job protecting Minneapolis/St. Paul. The people who were arrested and/or gassed provoked that action. Each night protesters were given multiple opportunities to vacate the area...only those who stayed after multiple warnings were removed.
