it helps if you are multitask in your daily life. try playing the song and hummin the song first. then start slowly , singing a line with each piano piece.

i play the paino and can sing , so i hope this tip works.

@jENNEHHTTlOvE14 I don't know if you're still looking for an answer to that question, but it's normally best for me to really get the piano part down. Memorize it, and if you can, get to where you don't really need to look at the piano. That way, you can focus on the singing :)

Eek you misspelled that 2nd chord in the intro. It's a 2nd inversion C# not an Ab. The C# functions as the vii/IV (leading tone triad of the subdominant, D major).

@D0ug91 I think it's very important to name chords correctly when demonstrating. He plays an A chord, then an A flat, C#, E, which is wrong. He started with an A chord and then moved to Amaj7 chord/G# bass.i You cannot have C#m with Ab. A jazz musician would not ever name music/chords incorrectly and even though it's a 2nd inversion of C#, it's really an A major 7 with a G# bass in relation to the music.
