@ZachMetalAsFuck Im not bashing the idea of covering songs or a band or what ever, I just dont understand why anyone would put forth effort just to play someone elses songs. I rarely cover anything, maybe a riff here and there to grasp a certain concept, but I put all my focus and effort into writing my own music and coming up with my own sound. I personally hate listning to covers because the whole time im thinking..they didnt write this.. lol So why does one cover something?
@NotSoFamous73 Yeah I understand that it shows that you can play songs of that level, what ever it is.. and its fine if a band wants to cover some songs just to play something together and get into the swing of things, but in my opinion, the only way id enjoy listning to a cover is if they took a song that had potential but wasnt that amazing, and then basically rewrite it and make it better. Example: I think Dying Fetus' version of "Born in A Casket" sounds better than the original.
