@fireanimeangel Happy tree friends is gore where the characters are alive the next short so it is hardly comparible with School Days and Narutaru. Both these however have some obscure sence of 'humor', with School Days 'mini game' and Narutaru's intro. It gives me the comforting idea of the makers telling me they know how awful this shit is and we don't take it too seriously. This doesn't change however the awful content. It makes me disgust the word 'justice'.

@DefWish The misleading opening and cheerful first one or two chapters caused this to be very badly mismarketed when the manga was first translated in other countries. It got pulled in most of them before the really horrific stuff happened later on. The anime was never marketed to kids except for, again, the bizarre and misleading opening.

@Neane1993 i think it´s better than elfen lied(dont like elfen lied that much)... but i haven´t watched gantz cuz a lot of people say it´s not good...

this anime is similar to evangelion, it shows you what would really happen if some kids had powerfull partners as weapons... at first you could say "oh, it would be amazing!" but this anime is another option..

i think it deserves the opportunity to be watched... =) hope i helpped

@098anime Thank you. Also, Gantz is really wonderful to watch. The problem with Gantz is that it's characters are so powerful and moving that it makes you 100% depressed because the characters are so real. Every time you see someone die, a little piece of you dies with that. It's really great. I recommend it. I will watch this series soon then.

@Neane1993 Gantz is a violent and somehow mindless (later not so) fight comic. Elfen Lied is social commentary with fiction and fanservice to sell. Narutaru hates humanity , and is the author's revenge on society.

For instance, have you ever seen any character die by getting sodomized for half a chapter, then had a shot of drug in his neck, then beheaded? In the Narutaru manga, Norio the gay dies likes this.
