The Ghost song I have always thought paid respects to the "Ghost Dance', a ritual once performed by the Native Americans in hopes that the insolent and  land hungry Europeans would vanish and the land return to its peace and harmony.

Even though I might not have existed I wish it had worked.

I don't think the song actually existed until after Jim's death? The rest of the band put it together as a tribute to him, is that right?
