That's the plan, Herbert. This motor is still running strong, and again this video is incredibly old. Nevertheless, I've been pondering a 20B as of late...=)
@Rotaryisgarbage, no sir, still rotary and still running strong. Compression test shows good compression and I got the oil changed along with the plugs, ready for this season. =)
@ AtzengamerMemphis - LOL, thanks man. :) This video is actually very old, and my car has been fixed for quite some time. Thanks for the support though! I appreciate it!! =)
@TRWeiss1 no prob dude, dont care about this retarded dude without a life and friends. He just spends time in youtube to made account, click on rotaryvids and start to spam. But I´ve never seen a comment from this retard in a video of rotorg33k or somethin.. btw, he is just biologic garbage.
did u found the problem of ur fd? Maybe u got a vacuum leak or something :P
this video got the little brother virus called Rotaryisgarbage!
ATTENTION, THIS HUMAN (maybe its an retarded human) IS VERY ANNOYING SO JUST PUT HIM TO IGNORELIST, MARK EVERYCOMMENT AS SPAM AND HELP THIS GUY IN THE RX7 TO FIX HIS ENGINE.
@ langjaijono - I wish that was the case. This is an old video, and I've rebuilt the motor since then. 2 apex seals were flat out shattered in the rear rotor housing. No amount of revving on earth would've fixed it....lol. All it would've done was score up the rotor housings some more. :P
one of ur apex seals is stuck that would cause the fluctuating idle one one side of the rotor. in the mazda manual it tells u to rev the shiat out of it to get it to get it unstuck
@Rotaryisgarbage - Don't get me wrong, I'd go LS1 in a heartbeat if this blows. I just decided to give the Rotary a fighting chance, now that I know it's built properly. :) But yes, there will be a V8 going in if this motor lets go...
Uhhh, no...I don't recall blaming myself for it. This motor failed because 2 apex seals split in the rear housing. They were atkins seals (installed prior to me owning the car), which are known for being brittle. Combine that with the fact that the motor was making 370RWHP for a year and a half and it was enough to blow them. It had nothing to do with my maintenance, but nice try. =) Now I'm running RA 3mm black superseals, so this won't be happening again.
@TRWeiss1 WE shall see TRWeiss. When you get tired of rebuilding the engine, let me know and I will help you. We can get you a good piston engine in there.
LOL...that is the problem with rotary engines, it doesn't matter how you maintain them. They ruin anyway. Are you blaming yourself for this failure????
Rotaryisgarbage - Settle down asshat, my motor is fine. I've dyno'd several times this year and the motor's still pulling exactly as much vacuum as it was at the start of the summer. Go find something productive to do with your time instead of posting worthless comments on youtube. Maybe then you won't fail at life so much.
Did it blow yet? I am sure if it does you won't admit to it like you did in this vid. You rotards turn into liars as soon as your POS engine gets some heat.
Sure thing Rotaryisgarbage! Keep wasting your time digging through youtube videos and posting worthless garbage. Do you HONESTLY not have anything better to do with your life? Hey, I hope that it at least helps ya sleep at night bud! =) You sure your name wasn't supposed to be Myresponsesaregarbage? LOL...
@ terribleoneprimo - Thanks man. :) Yep, the car is doing great...now single turbo (Garrett 500R), and made 475RWHP the last time we dyno'd. Car's down at KDR right now getting a 4" turboback exhaust bent up, then we're going back down next Saturday to dyno and break 500RWHP. =) I'll def have a video up when that happens!!
LOL....Keep talking and making us all laugh. You're making yourself look like a fool. If you looked past your ignorance for a brief period of time and actually asked about the motor, I'd inform you that it had Atkins Apex seals in it, which are known to warp/split. That was the problem, had nothing to do with maintenance. Thanks for playing though. =)
I couldn't be happier with it, actually. :) In my experience if you maintain them properly (which granted they DO require more maintenance than a piston engine), they're plenty reliable. I've had no issues with mine since the rebuild. Thanks for the comment though.
Since your motor ruined I guess you didn't maintain it properly. Is that what you are saying? All of the other rotards state it is not the engines fault so it must be your fault. It looks like your other brethern say you don't know what you are doing? Is that the case?
Also since it was not the engine and you, what makes you think this will last. You failed to maintain the old engine. What makes you think you know what you are doing now?
We will see you rebuilding it again then. I will laugh now. Let us know when your next rebuild is. See you posting in about a couple months if that long.
@aji8 you're a troll all you do is go around in rotary pages and bag them everyone knows what a wanker you ate now .. and we're all laughing at you AGAIN
LOL..you do live in a different world don't you. The only time I got owned was when I bought a car with a rotary engine. I took care of that and took the junk engine out.
Thanks for the advice. :) I actually already did the spark plug test, and it's missing beats/pulses in the rear housing...So I'm guessing an Apex seal failed and it only has compression on 1 side of the rotor. :(
Motor comes apart soon, so I'll keep you posted! Thanks again.
Compression test is the only way to tell, or failing that, whip out a plug from each rotor and turn the engine over, listening for consistent, strong "whooshes".
Could just be a cracked or chipped apex seal, as you'd have trouble even starting it if the seal had disintegrated completely.
As you said, don't keep running it, you might be causing more damage that you'll need to pay for in the event of a rebuild.
Hope you get it sorted, looks like a very nice Rex from what I can see.
