  • Thank you for a bit of sweet history.

  • Yes I Did. march 1974.one of the best tours he ever did.

  • @deannamarie29 lucky....

  • Did any of you had a chance to see Elvis in concert? I am too young to get the chance...

  • Proud Mary good song :)

  • Rare footage from Madison Square Garden. The crowd was so rude to Jackie Kahane, the comedian who opened the show that Elvis thought about not going on stage later. The shows were usually set up like this: 1- the comedian, 2-backup singers short set, then intermission and then Elvis comes to the stage !! This is footage, I believe was filmed by the News crews, covering Elvis Presleys concerts in New york in 1972. They were allowed only a few songs to video tape.

  • @GKRENKEL Thank you for the insight!!...

  • super vid thanx

  • super vid thx

  • great footage thank you

  • Wow! Looks like raw footage from the MSG concerts. A reporter asked Elvis a question at the press conference before the New York shows stating why "they filmed the concert in Boston and they couldn't film it here (NYC)". Elvis turned to the Colonel for an answer and Parker mumbled some ridiculous excuse..."because over here"...blah..blah...blah! Too bad today's audio/video technology wasn't available back in the 70's. Imagine seeing this filmed in HD??!! INCREDIBLE!!

  • Thank you so much for the rare footage and memories loved every minute of it.THE KING ROCKS!!!!

  • I love this footage. Elvis is the greatest entertainer of all time and the one and only king of music.

  • Yea the fans can be really cruel at times. I saw Elvis in March of 74, and when he had J.D. and the Stamps sing sweet sweet spirit , which as all of you know Elvis did not sing during the song, everyone started laughing and despite Elvis trying to shush the crowd, everyone kept at it. I was only 14 at the time, but I remember thinking how freakin rude it was. I was so worried Elvis would get mad and leave the stage ,I could hardly stand it !!

  • Elvis # 1 till the end of time

  • Youre welcome!

  • Great footage. Thanks for posting.

  • elvis is not a king but a god

    elvis we love you

  • @matrix5000100 I would not go that far, but he molded the music industry for ages...

  • @matrix5000100 Sorry for you but Elvis is the King!

  • @matrix5000100 there is nooooooo god but one God

  • Glad you enjoyed it. Wonder how many lost footeges are still out there undiscovered.....

  • Wow! Actual footage of comedian Jackie Kahane being booed off the stage on opening night at the Garden! I read about this in the book "Elvis at tMadison Square Garden" but now it's a treat to see that it really happened! And the Elvis footage is simply incredible! This is historic! Thanks for posting.

  • 10000000000000 thank you, "we love ELVIS......"

    from Paris France

  • damn, stages has changed a lot during the years..... now it looks like he has to sing on a carton box, lol....... and he was THE KING!

  • thank you,rob2049 for great video.pozdrav iz slovenije europe

  • Thanks for this great peace of hostory!

  • @houdini1972 You are welcome, enjoy!!

  • I believe this was filmed by The Garden in 1972 or by WNBC-TV in NEW YORK.. for Local News casts. I believe the cameras were allowed to tape/film only 3 songs for the local News stations. The same was done, when Elvis did concerts at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island in N.Y. in 1973. If every TV news department in the states, put all their footage together, from over the years, we would have alot of Elvis concert footage to enjoy on video !

  • @GKRENKEL I am pretty sure it was WNBC in New York

  • MADISON SQUARE GARDEN !! LOVE IT !! ELVIS-FOREVER THE KING !!!

  • Brilliant video. Elvis is the greatest performer that ever lived.

  • Thank You! I only wish I was there............. ELVIS LIVES!

  • Youre welcome, enjoy!

  • Brilliant, thanks a lot.

  • You are welcome. I have one more Gem for you. It will be posted by Saturday.

  • Absolutely wonderful to see this stuff, and to top it off with live Polk Salad Annie is the icing on the cake.. TY Very Much

  • Awesome footage

  • Why didn't Elvis' manager allow these concerts to be professionally filmed??? To all the fans that shot these home movies back in 1972, wherever you are, we are eternally grateful, because without your initiative and foresight we today would not have been able to watch Elvis Presley rock New York City. Thanks for sharing.

  • @tommyboo21 Elvis' tickets said you could take pictures, but never really address home cameras. It did say that what you shot belonged to Elvis and you could only use it for private viewing. I was lucky and filmed some concerts. What an honor to even be there. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who shot footage, silent or sound, in focus or not, whatever problems the footage has it is the only bit of "HIS-STORY" left of those concerts.

  • @tommyboo21

because his manager was a piece of shit whose interest in elvis was dollar signs not elvis the person

  • @tommyboo21 If they were filmed professionally it meant that 'they' had more to bargain with. Parker wanted his negotian base to be all powerful so everybody had to pay for recordings or none at all.

  • man that is good quality video

  • Fantastic.Madison Square Garden I think.Amazing.The King at his best.

  • do you own this footage?

  • Awesome footage, I didn't want it to end! Thanks so much for sharing this gem!

  • someone have the full concert?

  • IT FELLS LIKE IM WATCHING ELVIS FROM THE BALCONY I CAN SEE MORE. LOVE IT

  • A talent the size of Elvis should known that you dont have a comedian open for you. He should of had either a musical opening or none at all. I always thought it was lame to have an old jewish comedian open for a musical giant, made no sense, and it might of flown in Vegas but not in New York or the big cities. Bad call.

  • This is Elvis @ MSG in NYC (June '72)

  • You are welcome!!! Enjoy...

  • thank you so much my friend... fantastic footage with adonis jumpsuit 100/100

    the real elvis in action

  • I love this great footage. Seeing Elvis on stage at his best and thousands of flashbulbs popping. It doesn't get any better than that. Elvis will always be the king.

  • Jackie Kahane, at the start of the clip, thought the audience were booing because they couldn't hear him. In truth, they didn't appreciate his type of humour, and slow clapped him and chanted "We want Elvis!" over and over. Eventually he left the stage without finishing his set, "You are many, I am one", something along those lines lol. Apparently, when Elvis heard about their impatience, he was furious that they had disrespected a member of his show and threatened to cancel the whole gig.

  • Ah no I wasnt been snotty, I just cant believe you can't tell the difference..

  • Great footage. Elvis in his prime! What an entertainer!!!

  • not sure, but my guess would be spring/summer '72. awesome footage...goosebumps!

    Thanks for posting rob2049

  • Wow amazing footage, thanks suzi for this brilliant share.

  • He's the Best entertainer for sure!!

  • Thanks so much for sharing. Really enjoyed it.

  • Take a look at the drums during the Sweet Inspirations opening. "the drummer has different drums". Wondering if they set up a second kit for that part of the show? BUT, when you see Ronnies the stage isnt any bigger, so they must have set up his kits after tearing this ones down. Old school or what!! ALSO..... Look @ time 3:33 he stands right beside yet another camera. Where's the fottage from that view??

  • Elvis Presley forever :)

  • a great video.Thanks.Elvis Forever.

  • Elvis at The Garden 1972. This is very well known footage, but now in a superb quality and sound. By the way, Elvis was a lot slimmer in the ELVIS-ON-TOUR movie, also from 1972. Elvis in The Garden was too fat and much slower in my opinion.

    But...allways the alltime king.

  • This is great footage, more please. Seeing Elvis walk out onto the stage and thousands of flashbulbs popping is the best sight ever. Elvis the king forever.

  • Loved it, God Bless you Elvis. I will love you forever!

  • It is NOT amateur footage but Professionnal local TV

    Really fantastic,

    RareElvisPresley com

  • This is SPECTACULAR !!!! - MORE MORE MORE!

  • excellant, and totally awesome

  • Very nice. I wonder if this is available without the counter?

  • it's a shame that they didn't film any of the MSG shows for Elvis on Tour

  • Awesome footage thanks

  • I am glad everyone enjoys it! I found this stacked away, and thought we need to share the love for the greatest!

    Enjoy..

  • That time code has been added and does not have anything at all to do with the footage being shown. Looks great, though!!!

  • Incredible footage of The Sweet Inspirations, Jackie Kahane and THE KING at Madison Square Garden, June 1972. One wonders what other film footage remains to be seen.

  • Is the ugly little man at the start of the video Priscilla Presley herself? I didn't know that she was part the pre-show sometimes. The crowd obviously hated her.

  • superb found

  • This looks like Madison Square Garden - June 1972

  • Great

  • ¨PHENOMENAL
