Thanks - This film is my personal favorite - Everything in this movie is perfect, solid story, superb production, top songs and music. A true classic in family entertainment. The industry should have used this as the baseline for all future productions. I've seen the Indian version of this but I would say evey actor did much better then indian actors. Never understood why the industry went down instead of up at a time of so much talent and potential.

Dilip Kumar and Nargis starrer Halchal a K Asif,s film was a flop despite having artistic musical score from Sajjad and Shafi .Then came a high budgeted A R Kardar+ Naushad film Dil Diya Dard Liya based on the same story but could not do well at box office.Javaid Fazil,s Dehleez was the first success of this story and it,s music director Kamal Ahmad achieved presidential award on his performance. Finally India made Oonchay log a mediocre carbon copy( 100% plagiarized)

Dehleez" was not inspired by "Dil diya dard liya",basically Syed noor has been inspired by an english novel,on which "Dil diya dard liya" was based also and that was the flopped at box office,an intresting fact abt this script is that this script picturised abt five time (or more) but all movies were flopped except "Dehleez" celebreted diamond jubilee,later on Noor saheb directed (written also) a movie :Churiyan nahi hathkariyan(2001)",on same story and sequences, that was also flopped.

The female vocalist in this song is Mehnaz, not Naheed Akhter.
