@Starglance This is merely the divine office, or the psalms. In this video they are sung in French but ideally monasteries should sing them in Latin.

J'ai habité près d'une abbaye bénédictine et j'allais chaque dimanche suivre l'office des vêpres avec ces beaux psaumes. J'aimais surtout le psaume "portes éternelles" et les chants en latin lors des grandes fêtes. Après l'office, les pères parlaient un peu avec les fidèles.

The simplicity and prayerful chanting of the Monks of Citeaux, the beginning of the Cistercians, is awesome. I feel close to the heavens and God when I'm in that monastic chapel praying with the monks. Deo gratias!
