Well my man, that is why the movie is under the fantasy catagory, a fantasy is usually something that we want but can't acheive. & why not give him an existance that's based on energy from light when light obviously has infinite mass? & mass equals more energy so why would he need to eat alot?lol but ofcourse the part of him flying around the world & reversing time is not possible but it stands to reason that in relatable context anybody would do anything for love, even disobay their own father.
Yes I was aware.I did say "shtick".The guy rubs me the wrong way.I sense in him(or the character he plays) a mean spiritedness, and lack of humility, that comes with the pervasive American "resting on our laurels".
More smart guy identity shtick huh? Dude you sound like a precocious "tween" trying to run for science club president, yet you're a grown ass man.Check your facts before you get on the net embarrassing the American engineering caste. The world will look at you and think that's all America has to offer.Hollywood central casting poseurs playing themselves off against the ignorant and gullible.
"...completely defies the second law of thermodynamics. There is no way that he consumes enough food to expend that much energy."
You are referring to the 1st law of thermodynamics. The second law of thermodynamics deals with the generation of entropy with respect to work and internal energy within a system/control volume. Owned!
@divinenuker I an not an engineer but an electronics technician (but I have an engineering hobby) and one thing that bugged me in some superhero movies is the extremely fast engineering & building of complex machines within hours or days. For instance, in Ironman 2, Tony Stark builds a particle accelerator within a few minutes.
i dont like the way he lies about being not able to go faster than the speed of light. apparently the universe is expanding faster than the speed of light and secondly humans might in the future be able to reach the speed of light
Ya about that whole speed of light thing...there are this things called neutrinos. Sorry :(

@titusact4scene2 Reading your comment brings up the question as to whether you're aware that this is a comedy series.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking about word per word when I watched Superman on Netflix last night.
Engineers DO think alike :)

Did you really just use science to prove a science fiction movie was fiction? Seems a little redundant to me.
