Yeah it's a toughie alright. . As you get accustomed it'll get a lot easier. There are some people who do this type of exercise for 5 minutes straight! I find that overkill - you can get what you need out of it with 40-60 second holds.
I'm still out of shape, and doing this at the end of the other exercises. This is when my muscles are kinda wiped. I am getting stronger though. Mine starts burning at 15sec if I'm tired, 30sec if I'm reasonably fresh. Will hopefully get to the point where I can do 60sec in one shot. I do know my hams don't fire properly, I have been working on this. When I squat my quads are doing most of the work, despite proper form. The 7 day IS fixing this, I can tell.
yea ive been doing the 7 day vert cure on my off days and have seen gr8 results so far, i feel so much better on training days. these are the worst though, it burns at about 45 sec and the last 15 sec is will power but you feel al lot lose the next day. im 5 -7 and i finally hit my head on the cieling(about 8 feet) a couple days ago
Kelly, when doing this I'm hurting at 10-15sec (I'm out of shape, trying to fix it). Since I can't do it for 60 sec, I'm assuming I do it for as many sets as it takes to get my 60 sec/leg, is that correct? I can do all the other ones in your 7 day, but this one is my nemesis! Thanks for all you do.
to aircooled, it makes it a little easier to use a lower height. like i do it on the couch and it it feels alright but if i do a table it burns a lot more, so you might want to try a lower object. also putting your foot out a little more helps sometimes because it puts more focus on glutes and opposite hip flexor and also helps balance easier. when done it feels pretty good like a warm feeling in the legs
