I wish it was more scary, the first Dead Space was scary as shit. All the time I felt claustrophobic and it had that constant feeling of death. In the first Dead Space you felt helpless, in Dead Space 2 the environments don't do the first justice.

As much as i am a diehard fan of Resident Evil and Silent Hill ( both games were my introductory for survival horror) and have a good deal of games from both series...Dead Space is currently my favorite and if they continue on doing as well and better as the first two then it may possibly stay my favorite. It blends great atmosphere, ambience, weaponry, the right kind of enemies ( resident evil having gun wielding enemies is very... out of place and boring for me)

The only thing i have to say was a slight miss was the dementia, half of the time it happens, it's more like a cutscene then us the player actually going through and being tested against. As well that the voice for Nicole's haunting/angry form is a little flat imo, especially compared to what we got at the end of Ds1 ( that right there has been the scariest moment of a game for me) That aside, Ds2 is easily in my top 5 video games!

The game seems to be awesome, but developers probably don't think that there are players with non HD-ready TVs. It's really painful to read the tiny text on ~80cm screen connected with Xbox via SCART cable.

@proximityeffect1 Yes but don't forget that Dead Space 2, while is a very good game, is already straying from what its roots are. A scary game. The original was dubbed survival horror. This one is dubbed action horror. Dead space will inevitably fall into that action pitfall just like the other games you mentioned. It too will suck with time.

I think it would really be cool if they did a kind of preql. like the animated movie. Have up run aroun d on the planet for a bit then be like "OH NO THE SHIP IS BEING TAKEN OVER and then have you die at the end. I kind of miss the 3-d map, although the locator system pretty much does away with the need for it. The 3-d map just needed a little bit more work to be usable.

The first was really nice, but i think the second is better cause i finished the first im impossible mode 3 times....

The second i finished the Hard Core mode 7 times. and i´m not kidding!!!

The zealot mode was fun........
