2. Kill all the buffalo

3. Quit without saving

You now have the achievement and there is a herd of buffalo left over!

Just bringing up the ACTUAL idea of manifest destiny(westward expansion), I think r* should have made the state of San Andreas co exist with New Austin, Mexico, and West Elizabeth. In the stranger side mission "California" I was kinda pissed that it was California and not San Andreas.

I got this Achievement in Multiplayer...I was just screwing around calling my Buffalo mount and kept killing it with a knife, then I got the Achievement unexpectedly...

I was stabbing it over and over because I wanted it to say "(Gamertag)'s mount was stabbed like a pig" in the area where it says "So and so has joined the session, so and so expertly killed so and so, so and so was killed by lawmen", etc.

I dunno, guess it's just me that gets comedy out of it.

they do come back my brother killed them and got the achievement a few (real life) days later there they where back again in singleplayer

First you should save before you do this achievement! Also if you kill all the buffalo at once some of their bodies will disapear and you wont be able to skin them. Get behind the group and try to herd them into the center of the great plains, dont let them run toward the water and off a cliff. If any of the buffalo die by killing themselves you wont ge the acheivement! Try to kill off the buffalo that are running seperate from the group or you will lose them. Once you get 5G, reload save.

just buy a buffalo rifle and a lot of moonshine, then save the game in blackwater. after, find the herd and u can kill a lot of them in one deadeye. use moonshine to refill yur deadeye and keep hunting. after u get the achievement, just reload yur save and now u can hunt buffalo at yur pace and actually skin them

This achievement plays on the word destiny to imply that these early settlers’ presumptions of desert (deservedness) imposed on the American landscape a consequent destiny of ecological devastation.

Rockstar makes some rather warped social commentary most of the time, but this is one of their better moments.
