  • Definitely, my Favourite Song by Mr. Springsteen. This is a Timeless Rock and Roll Classic.

Thanks for Posting and Have a Great Day~~

  • He 62 and he is still Born to Run !

  • Simply amazing!

  • Battle Royale - 'Nuff said :)

  • Someday girl, I don't know when, we're gonna get to that place that we really wanna go and we'll walk in the sun.. But till then, tramps like us, baby, we were born to run!

It might not seem very appropriate to some, but for me, I'll sing these lyrics to my wife at our wedding.

  • this is high pitched

  • FUCK is this awesome.

  • I want to guard your dreams and visions

Just wrap your legs 'round these velvet rims

and strap your hands across my engines

  • one of my fav songs.

  • Battle Royale FTW.

  • @mimefan you get a thumb up, sir/madam

  • @levelate Merci Monsieur/Madame

  • @mimefan actually i search for this song because i was reading BR, Nanahara,Sugimura, The third man & Kawada FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ABELSEARCH1991 Same here.

  • Whenever I feel blue, sad, depressed, suicidal, etc. I always remember theres a jersey shore out there, and that Clarence Clemons will always have this unbelievable solo. Then I say, What was bothering me again?

  • wow! this was lady gaga's inspiration in her song born this way!

  • @mascardomikhail Sry but in my opinion if that's true....It was Failure

  • @mascardomikhail Don't ever mention her name on a Bruce Springsteen Youtube page ever again or I will kill you myself.

  • @BuriedTreasure255 i lovew you

  • @BuriedTreasure255 ops sorry... anyway how can you find me? ;)

  • @BuriedTreasure255 I love The Boss just as much as Lady Gaga.

  • clarence rocked miss him rip

  • there is just something about Bruce Springsteen that can make a song magical

  • I'm a "Runaway American Dream", and I like it!

  • as we glazed back and forth into distance view we wonder

  • Completely timeless.

  • "I want to know if love is wild, babe, I want to know if love is real"

I think every teenager can relate to this

  • Chills.

  • Jersey Pride!

  • ....spending the evening getting drunk and listening to the boss...old school....

  • @lmooky on your own? If that's so that's sad

  • Such a powerfull song loved it first time i heard it way back and always sounds good now, also not tarted up when done live still powerfull probably my most favourite song ever

  • Heard this live at Wembley - blew my mind. Was exactly as it sounded here. Exceeded all expectations. Love the bit where he shouts '1,2,3,4' and counts in the last section of the song.

  • "Wendy let me in I wanna be your friend

I want to guard your dreams and visions

Just wrap your legs 'round these velvet rims

and strap your hands across my engines"

    And...

"I wanna die with you Wendy on the streets tonight in an everlasting kiss..."

Some of the greatest lyrics ever written.

Each time I listen to this, I'm thoroughly convinced that this is the absolute greatest song ever recorded of all-time. Lyrically, musically, and production-wise, it is an unparalleled masterpiece.

  • um drop the gay debate and roll with the boss baby

  • 14 people were born paralyzed.

  • In 4:30 this song says everything rock and roll ever wanted to say.

  • I love love this song. When my grandson was born they lived with me for the first 8 monthes of his life. Every morning when his mommy was fixing him a bottle I would turn this song on and dance with him. He would just smile and look at me ..its a wonderful memory. That grandson is 12 as of last month. They groww up so fast. He likes Bruce by the way. I LOVE Bruce! He rocks. Saw him in concert in Munich!

  • Who are the 14 A-holes who disliked this ?!?!?!

  • This song reminds me of my highschool sweetheart and I ..we were 17 and in love, inseperable..we were going to buy a junkie car and drive to down to Florida so we could frolic in the water and put our feet in the sand. We saved 70.00. We talked about it for a week, seriously, we never did go..but in our minds we did!

  • @2112murphy dylan did it better and first, the boss will always be second to him

  • who disliked this??? what is wrong with you?!?

  • Best song ever

  • @MyNameIsMissAndrea easy, easy, with that ever comment

  • @EddieErion929 My personal opinion!

  • MOON CUT LIKE A SICKLE :')

  • The ending is always my favorite :D.

  • im 15 people and find weird i listen to these songs but i LOVE his voice its so much better then all the crappy rap thats in nowadays

  • @theblueeyedgirl96 it doesn't matter how old you are just do what you want nobody cares about how different you are, keep it real

  • @x3sweeneyx3 thankyou atleast one person doesnt find it weird lmao

  • I'm into metal and hard rock but even I can respect music like this... Such a good song.

  • @2112murphy not even half of half

    !

  • Yeah Lady who ? (Quote from 2014)

  • @2112murphy

    Agreed!

  • We started our run over 43 years ago! And still in love! But more important were really friends and love each other more than in the beginning? How it happen I do not know, But I think she knew I was a better person than I knew I could be if she just have me enough time to see love is the answer! So let it be.

  • Oh there's aproblem alright. Musically, we're regressing, or something. Dumbing down. Today's stuff is about marketing, not substance.

  • JUST WATCH AND LIKE THIS VID..

  • Epic!!

  • glee did this, 2010 <3 im a gleek, twilightian, and obsessed with vampire diaries!

  • @vampirediaries3456 You should probably kill yourself.

    Just saying.

  • @ninjabutler why because i like glee twilight and vampire diaries? i like bruce springsteen too you know :D

  • @2112murphy

The closest would be Talking Heads, or the Arcade Fire. But they're not outright comparisons of The Boss.

  • 2:39 - 3:05 = really hard to duplicate on the drums. So epic.

  • Best song ever

  • I love Michelle Obama! she has great hair in this picture,,,,sparkles :)

  • @BorgWardCollective Agreed, most bangable first lady ever

  • kurt can :(

  • I was born to run

  • @Carlos111111able i wasn`t

  • This is the soundtrack to my life.

  • im listening to this classic now reminds me of my teenage years, I grew up with the boss RIP the big man

  • In my many years of listening to great music, this is a close second to LIKE A ROLLING STONE. Same energy. Bruce, beyond classic.

  • He perfectly captures the yearning, passionate human soul in this song

  • the song of EVERY teenage generation.

  • Just noticed this isn''t the original studio one - this one has strings in it.

  • @Eeza07

it's also not in the same key as the studio track.

  • @bplumser

Hahaha good ear! I have no idea about keys etc :p

  • thumbs up if you have a poster of bruce in your room

  • Love Bruce, love Gaga, so fucking sue me!

  • @spikeasaur1 You'll get the papers in the morning :) lol

  • @spikeasaur1 I want sue you but I will suggest to you that your statement is retarded!

  • There is a problem everyone.

When I typed in "Born" I didn't get this or even "Born to Be Wild" as the autofinish options.

I got "Born this Way" by Lady Gaga.

Part of my soul just died.

  • @UncleSamsCabin I thought the same ahahah ! that's trash music to throw away bleah

  • @UncleSamsCabin Listen to this and get it back!

  • @UncleSamsCabin That's a good song too though.

  • @UncleSamsCabin and when i typed "born to", justin bieber came above born to run. that is absolutely sickening.

  • @UncleSamsCabin Lady gaga is the new generation of music, gaga really looks up to Bruce and without him i really think gaga would be nobody

  • @UncleSamsCabin one day a new famous song featuring the word born will come about and it will over shadow her too.

  • @UncleSamsCabin one day a new famous song featuring the word born will come about and it will over shadow her too.

  • @snaptoppers The only difference is that nothing will ever overshadow the Boss :D

  • @UncleSamsCabin Don't worry, the Lady Gaga fad will die out of the mainstream...eventually.

  • @UncleSamsCabin At least they have the same saxophonist :)

  • @UncleSamsCabin Your brilliant comment made my weekend. =D

  • @UncleSamsCabin Feeling your pain

  • @UncleSamsCabin that song has a beautiful message. moron!

  • @nbmp80 I think the problem with Gaga , and that song is that she agressively wants to force society to accept homosexuality, and made it a trend, and cause that lots of teenagers think they're gay, even when they're not mature enough to tell that. I think she makes more harm to gays than benefit, cause lots of people will hate gays more cause of Gaga provocative attitude.

By the way, Bruce Springsteen rocks!

  • @TheHegyihod listen i was gay before lady gaga, actually since i was very very little... in what song or video does she promotes homosexuality? or says be gay? the only thing she encourages is to be yourself and rejoice in ur identity no matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgender life... cuz we were BORN THIS WAY!! u have to pay attention to her lyrics, the only thing she promotes is acceptance, and love.....

  • @UncleSamsCabin

They've been listening to this song for 35 years, and I guarantee you - they'll be listening to this one 35 years from now when Lady Gaga is just a footnote. Greatness does endure.

  • @UncleSamsCabin Atleast is a good artist like Gaga, not Justin Bieber's Born to write about Mistletoes

  • @UncleSamsCabin well, this might cheer some people up: "jesus of suburbia" comes before "jesus of nazareth" on google:)

  • The best definition of rock and roll? Probably!

  • I miss u Clarence Clemon, everybody's gonna remember u

  • @wevelostDon you mean... a necklace? what's so bad about a necklace?

  • Best played during the Stanley Cup Finals when the New Jersey Devils win!

  • It sounds like the score composer for the 1980s anime, "Megazone 23" (Part 1), ripped off the music from this song starting at around 2:52.

Check out the U.S. trailer for the anime here and judge for yourself: v=PcXoSQPwKJ0

  • And this song shows how much people who live in New Jersey hate it.

Thankfully I'm not one of them.

  • do you remember the Battle Royale? ^^ "We were born to run..." <3

  • @Lilyrain11 i love you. marry me.

  • @GotmyplaceinHell

Do you like it? xD just like me...^^

  • I love Bruce Springsteen i have all his Albums. :)

  • Justin Beiber penis is the size of the dislike bar

  • Ahhh, I remember the good old days, back when THIS used to be the rebel attitude.

  • @JRod527763 Somehow people forgot how to agree on things. He has liberal views but by todays standards 1975 Bruce would be considered more republican, We live in strange times

  • @jtrobison Wait. I was talking about politics? LOL! I was just referencing how running away with someone used to be a rebel attitude and now we have modern-day rap songs that are practically traumatizing old people. xD

Then again, I suppose that could tie into what you're saying. After all, ideas that were new and radical about 30 years ago (most of which seemed liberal) seem old-fashioned now.

Funny you mention that though. I was just studying John F. Kennedy, and he seems to be the same way.

  • @JRod527763 i hear that, but i mean as time goes on people can only take so much deception so the attitude got more crude and the messege was more angry than this....still love bruce forever though

  • @mustbejames1 Ah. I see. Well, at this rate, Lord only knows what it's gonna be like 30 years from now. xD

  • Forest Gump? :P

  • Listening to this cause of Andy sixx :D

  • that's Power Music!

  • i listened to this bc of A6 :P

  • Not ironically, this is a great song to run to. It's like Bruce is re-energizing me with his soul and when the "whoah-oh-oh's" come in at the end you feel like you are on top of the world :)

  • The very definition of the word "iconic." Did any of you see the Boss play for the Superbowl? A treat for the ears, indeed.

  • I never listened to this entire album until 2005 (I was 14)...It seriously changed my life!!!

  • I Don't think my speakers get any louder

  • Great

  • tramps like us, baby we were born to run!!!!!! =D

  • 8 people were born to eat shit.

  • @KillaKneeGrow im gonna shit in your mouth in front of your family if you keep that up

  • perfect

  • why is this version in a completely different key? it's not the original

  • Bruce Springsteen is so hott on that cover :)

  • l'inizio è spettacolare

  • what's the name of the song with a guy who works in a car wash? I think it's on born in the USA.

  • @steurun down bound train

  • RIP Clemons... Well there goes the soul of Springsteen's music.

  • Always thought the studio version was the best! Thanks for posting.

  • rest in peace big man

  • there's a lot of w's in this song

  • How can he have so many voices???

I mean, is sounds like a completely different man, singing "hungry heart", and a 3rd voice, to me, at least, he uses at "born in the USA"

Never heard of anything like it!

  • if I hadn't read the book BATTLE ROYALE (by Koushun Takami), I never would have heard about this song. needless to say, this song is amazing.

  • I completed the twelth step, I found Springsteen

  • 6 people are bitter because they have no legs...

  • This song was the anthem for my entire generation. "tramps like us, baby we were born to run". Appealed to the baddass in all of us! Those just getting to know Springsteen because of the death of the "Big Man", welcome! The music is timeless, and all of it is here on Youtube for your enjoyment. Try my other personal favorite, also from the Born to run album. It's called Thunder Road.

I do feel blessed to have been born to be a part of that generation. Cause "Baby I was born to run"!!!

  • R.I.P Big Man.

  • @MrBigrobmjca3 i never knew about him, but i get tears of joy every time i here this song, but he will always be a rock and roll icon, FOREVER.

  • best song ever?

  • RIP The Big Man!

  • @MrHaihai82 Maybe they were born without legs. NOT SO FUNNY NOW IS IT?! D:

  • RIP Clarence :(

  • RIP CLARENCE

  • RIP Clarence

  • RIP Clarence. Epic solos!! You're immortal. Mission accomplished!
