【Corel painter essentials 4】 tutorial 【part 1】

I got this with my tablet, BUT IT DOESEN'T WORK >:(

Hey,is there a reason your basic round has a line through it? Mine doesn't :(

that line shows what angle the pen on my tablet is at, so if you dont have a tablet that might be why

go to edit>preferences>general>check enhanced brush ghost

@aria0121 thanx for replying, youre right, i dont think you can. but i figured out how to control it. if you just scribble something on the layer using some non-translucent medium like thick wet impasto first, erase what you did, then use a pencil it will be totally solid. but again you are right, i don't think you can change it. thanx again! :)

@STRANGERinDARKNESS7 lol im know youre not asking me, but i use this program myself and a REALLY good tool for line-art is Digital Airbrush (under water section) Put it at 1 pixel and 50% opacity, with FAST strokes. It works amazingly (:

How do you re-draw lineart over existing lineart? Like I have this picture I scanned and opened, but I want to re-dra the lineart, but in thin (really thin) lines. How can I do this? I have Corel Painter 4 as well...What tools should I use? I'm sorry I'm really new to this :((((

i used the basic round watercolor tool for most of the coloring, and i dont believe you can edit the brush settings in painter essentials

how do u get the penguin to stay there when u open something when i open photoshop or internet explorer i cant see the penguin anymore

that;s a nice video man...now one question....how you make don't get out of the lines??? you use some kind of tablet with pencil? or is any kind of tool from the corel? and one more, i can sketch almost anything by hand you now the old school way ;) but is there any way i can colour them in the corel?? and mess them... if you can answer plz cause i see tha you can use this program very good... thanks a lot btw.... :)

i do use a tablet.

Also, you can scan drawings onto your computer and color them in corel, just scan the drawing, save it, then do file>open in corel and select the picture you wish to open.

sighhh im such a noob when it comes to figuring things out.. ):  well my question is how do you change the type of brush you use? when i first installed corel painter i didn't mind about the brush i was using and i just kept it that way,

but now i had to reinstall it since something weird happened to the computer S: . The type of brush i'm using now is reallly faint and its hard to see i have to press really hard for it to acutally be seen ): ....

(right click on your desktop, click gadgets then click get more gadgets, then search "pesogin" in the windows live gallery

for some reason when I try to make it red it won't work- I'm using the correct tool, the Broad Water one, but it isn't working. I used to be able to make it but not any more. any ideas why?

how do you make you're drawing a layer and not the canvas layer? cuz i did it free hand and i just scanned it... would that still work? .w.

@aria0121 I know that, but on yours, you had the actual drawing on layer 1, but my drawing is on the canvas layer... would it make a difference if it was on the canvas layer or not? thats all i wanna know... if it will make a difference.. how do you make the drawing go to layer 1?

if you copy and paste the sketch, it will appear on it's own layer.
