I lived in a similar area at Tibag, Calamba, Laguna where similar events happen every 5 years -- 1995, 2000, 2005, albeit in a less massive scale. Since then, I've become more discerning of where I place our home, more discerning of the effects of the forces of nature. My young kids are also always reminded every now and then, to be aware, of the physics of the places they go to. Is the area landslide prone? Or is it accident prone? Is the building safe? I always pray to God to keep us safe.

no one deserves to die,. they are innocent,. think about it if you die in a tragedic death or brutal death, and someone say's you deserves to die, and you know you din't do anything wrong?,and many people will like it what he/she says?,will that make you happy?,. think about if your the one that died there. you have no heart. maybe your the one deserves to die with that attitude, why don't you just give them your condolence and pray for them instead.

Ano magiging tugon ng gobiyerno tungkol dito. Oo kailangan natin ang mga puno na putulin upang may magamit tayo sa ating mga pangangailangan ngunit meron sapat na pag-aaral kung saan at kailan dapat tayo kumuha ng yaman sa ating inang kalikasan? itong mga makasariling kababayan natin na walang utak na lagi iniisip ay pera. . . I lived in a similar area at Tibag, Calamba, Laguna where similar events happen every 5 years -- 1995, 2000, 2005, albeit in a less massive scale. Since then, I've become more discerning of where I place our home, more discerning of the effects of the forces of nature. My young kids are also always reminded every now and then, to be aware, of the physics of the places they go to. Is the area landslide prone? Or is it accident prone? Is the building safe? I always pray to God to keep us safe.

@mahelvie We are given free will. And God rarely intervenes. We are free to destroy our forests and watersheds, for logging, for subdivisions for malls. In the end, this is what we harvest. Unfortunately, the poor, who rarely have a choice on where they live, are always on the receiving end.
