From what i recall, it's Woody Allen being clever, as McLuhan uses the term fallacy in his later works, but I wonder if "phallacy" was indeed part of the joke. Cheers!

My hearing isn't so good; did Mr McLuhan say "My whole fallacy is wrong," or did he say "My whole phallacy is wrong"?
(I mean, it is a Woody Allen movie.)
