@9threalm It sounds like Black Sabbath's first 4 albums' sound fused with some Electric Wizard's "Dopethrone" sound... not that the two things haven't got the same ... essence(?)... but you know. Sorry if I fucked-up the comment, but I typed it while listening to this masterpiece and it really gives me goosebumps and really grabs my attention. I hope you understood what I meant in the first sentence.

@perrottafamily1 Alice in Chains has NOTHING in common with stoner metal. Don't make me explain what AiC play and what are the elements regarding stoner doom(alot of fuzz/phaser/feedback on guitar and bass, very slow tempo, accentuated heavy bass guitar etc). AiC is very influenced by 70s traditional heavy metal, some speed metal elements, but I wouldn't say they're grunge . But of course, AiC also have some early Sabbath influences but that doesn't mean they're stoner rock/stoner metal.

@doom696mented Yes because "Stoner Rock" and "Stoner Metal" are such distinctive styles,like say classical and rock. I say that because just the other day I heard a song i took to be "stoner rock".But then my well trained "Catalog All Music" senses kicked in. I was like, "Hey,there's not much fuzz on the guitar"! " Tempo's pushin 120."..Then . .the line was crossed..- "I'S THAT A GODDAMN UN- ACCENTUATED HEAVY BASS GUITAR?" I thought." why its "Contemporary Stoner- metal/rock"! I was fuming!
