so before, i was like obsessed with serenate for season 4, along with chair. it's just that serena and dan have been apart for SO long i forgot how amazing they were. dan makes serena a good person, and she was willing to change for him, and she was really such a good person, and she was finally above gossip girl and the upper east side elite. nate just takes her the way she is, and i see no "good" in her. there were too many lies between them.

I've always loved DS so much, and you are right, this song (which is one of my favorites, by one of my favorite bands!) suits their relationship in season 3 SO WELL. After lily/rufus got married, they became more like bro/sister. I'm a HUGE Serenate fan and I don't think I'll ever accept Dan/Serena after 1x18, but I love this video. The lyrics are just perfect for their relationship, and how they just grew apart, wanting or not.
