  • This is an amazingly flexible and perfect sounding kit.

    But ... pricewise ... OUCH !

On top of that, never forget that it requires an amplification, when you're not playing only for yourself.

    ANYWAY !

    TOP NOTCH !

  • I'm not a drummer at all, but I want one! haha. Might try and get a cheap 2nd hand older model!

  • 8:25 he didn't put the fastening clip back

  • It's REAAALLY hard to believe this is an electronic drum kit.. Roland FTMFW!!!!!!!! Insane quality!! Well done!!

  • jesus imagine how long it took them to sample all of these sounds

  • Guys, guys! Where can I sell my kidney?

  • I Have The TD-9, The TD-20 Is My Dream Kit.

  • VERY WELL GREAT SOUND

  • Hi im hope!! please check my drumming at my channel :-)

  • It's a shame they all are such shallow shell depths. They'd have more stage presence if they toms could go deeper (like 8 or 10 inches). Gorgeous finish, though. That's a big improvement. Now if we could just add the depth and bronze-colored cymbals I'd be ready to upgrade. Amazing sounds.

  • I didn't know Charlie Sheen played drums? WINNING!

  • Good share check my vids if you need some samples

  • Uhhhhhhhhhucdkxrkxsujf I need this

  • Hello!! Could you please answer my question? So.. I would like to know how to connect my TD 20 with my laptop and Record. Do I need an additional device or cable? Will the sound be clean?

    Thank you very much.

  • this is great put 5000 quid?!? why not buy a real drum kit for that money?

  • @riseofthefallen301 Because electronic drums are much more versatile. Instead of tweaking the heads and fiddling around with the padding to change the sound of your set you can just hit a button.

  • Its like putting Mike Myers and Charlie Sheen in a Blender

  • I just want to cry....

  • @lRubixx the playing was, the cymbals were off lol

  • yes its a bit expensive, but if you think about your acoustic set (decent one), the shells plus hardware and cymbals you are in to about $1500 or $2000. now you want to record and have it sound decent, another $500 to $1000, so your looking at around $3000, then tuning them right, getting the mics set.. then you have the edrums being quiet when there are people home, or if you live in an apartment or something like that. and you plug them in, press a button, and you're recording!

  • Comment removed

  • @JaKKeyyyy Some people don't have the space for an acoustic set. Also, having a great electronic kit makes for easier recording/sampling. I love my acoustic kit, but apartment living isn't really the best for an acoustic kit. I'm hoping to maybe save up for this kit, because it is fucking badass.

  • and it only costs a good $4500 or so? what a deal! (sarcasm) i'd rather spend the money on the best accoustic kit and cymbals

  • i am a huge hater of edrums but even i admit this kit looks pretty good. i played a basic roland td20 once and that was bareable.... still though if you offered me this for free or an accoustic kit at half of the price range i would pick the accoustic kit every time...

  • this is pure magic.

  • I can watch this 100 times and still be jaw dropping... I want one... lol... imagine having no tuning issues... just setting up and playing... then changing to a completely different sounding kit... dude... to be endorsed by roland for these kits would be a dream...

  • 4:17 TRON Legacy (Daft Punk - Derezzed)

  • I love the sound of the snare on 50's King - kit. Realistic....wow. impressive.. electrics are amazing. never a complete substitue for acoustics, but sometimes I wonder. especially when i still can't tune drums to save my life sometimes. its like being able to bring 50 kits to your gig, fully miked, tuned to perfection that sound mint. i thinks thats incredible. now someone please buy me one!

  • why should i pay an ass full of money for something that tries to be like an acoustic set for a payable price?

  • je la veut :P

  • I WANT ONE :D

  • zrrdasaaSWWEQWEQRTRERRTRERREERESDSDSSDSDSSDDSDSDSDSDSDSDSAASAYXDEWERRV FGTRFRFTTRTRESEDEE4EEEE

  • did you guys add a splah @ 7:38? How did u do it??

  • @RisenMusicTV The td20 is expandable so you can add more pads or cymbals:).Hope I helped!

  • i didnt clue in that it was an electric set until like 2:38

    i was so confused

  • i hope to play.............................

  • UK Drummers! The World V-Drum Championship has started, Submit a video of you playing drums on the Roland UK Facebook contest page and you could be entered into the finals to win a Roland TD-20KX kit worth £6000 and an all expenses paid trip to california!!!

  • @rolandukltd We like the sound of that !!!

  • @rolandukltd how about you send me a roland kit so i can play on it and ill make a video since i cant afford it at the moment xD

  • For 7 grand you get.

    1) A drum kit for EVERY GIG

    2) A sound guy.

You can make this drum kit sound AMAZING, but if your to lazy to do that then there is no point is complaining.

  • Recording acoustic drums is difficult and expensive

This plugs right into the line-in's of your mixer.

SO TELL ME WHY NO SERIOUS DRUMMER WOULD ACTUALLY USE THAT ???

Who said "because we all know it sounds like crap" ?

  • How in the fuck is this worth 8Grand?!!!!!! Really!!!

  • Doesn't matter how amazing an electric kit can be, nothing beats the true magic of an acoustic drum! Not even triggering :P

  • can you tune these drums

  • If you want to be "into the zone", get an acoustic set.

  • This Drum kit is a beauty to play! Im am lucky that my drum teachers got one :)

  • Ehhhh. IT still sounds really "electronicy". Good for synthetic sounding stuff, but I dunno what to think if you are going for an acoustic sound.

  • I have a fricking yamaha dtxplorer...

  • I WANT ONE

  • yup its 7 grands, you could get 2 of the best Tama acoustic sets.......or you could get one roland, with 100 drumsets that sound almost exactly like acoustic drumsets

  • cmon charlie with ez drummer i can get out a better sound than the td 20, i am very disappointed ):

  • haha 9:27 he is winning

  • Charlie Sheen's brother..

  • so freakin' expensive!

  • i could kill to got it

  • Luv neotype

  • Great drum kit but it´s so expensive :(

  • lol asianv

  • with 7k you can buy a really pretty ho!

  • Haha. The one handed roll at 0:27 tells you that it's Johnny Rabb almost instantly.

  • wouldn't touch this with a beginers sticks, £5,210.00 on ebay, jezz for that price i could have one hell of an acoustic set up and plenty of accessories to keep me going a very long time, Roland need to sort themselvs out. no electro kit will ever come close to playing the real deal. FACT!

  • machine gunning.....FAIL

  • You sound like Charlie Sheen.

  • What an awesome kit man I want one of them :)

  • Damn, 7 grands?! For that i get the best Tama acoustic set and all the cymbals that goes with it. Twice!

  • @RokerBorut But your cymbals and heads will break, electric cymbals and heads almost never break. By that I mean that you can play heavy on a electric kit for over 5 years without breaking anything. If you're using cymbals that's as high quality sounding as the TD-20KX's for over 5 years, you've already spent over 7 grand (including the drum kit).

  • @RokerBorut and with 7k you have great percussion, asian drums, and different batches and sets of sounds / cymbals? I think this is a great thing, it sound amazing

  • @cmuray - you get it ALL for 7 grands man! Thats a LOT of money, especially for electronic drums!

  • @RokerBorut But then you must have a very nicely sound isolated room wherever you live, or else you would be kicked out your neighbourhood. =P

  • @RokerBorut what's your point? both acoustic and ekits have their use. 7k isnt bad for what it is. Some people find it more flexible to have an ekit for studio use. No need to mic the whole kit, replace pieces, have dozens of microphones etc.

Ekit records midi notes that can trigger Superior Drummer 2 for example, which can sound amazing if used right. And you can always tweak your mix, change drums, fix timing, velocities etc. Versatility and flexibility. In the long run it pays for itself

  • @madbc2004 - my point was, that it's too expensive for an electric drum kit. It's worth 3 or maybe 4 grands, but not 7!

  • @RokerBorut Yes, but is it silver?

  • @RokerBorut And you're stuck with one drum kit, while with this you got over 20?

  • @Raindarsus - this is true. But it's better to have one hell of a kit, than 20 plastic ones, dont you think? Btw. i like electronic drums for what they do, but 7 grand is WAY too much for a electronic kit. 3 or 4 grands should be maximum.

  • @RokerBorut but here your a buying all kind of tamas.... , disctint percussions and cymbals...

  • @RokerBorut it cost like over fucking 10-11k in my country!!!!

  • @RokerBorut why would you want to, when you can fine tune this TD20 to sound exactly like a tama kit anyway. You make it do what you want it to!

  • @RokerBorut Yea and then you're stuck with 2 Tama kits.

  • @RokerBorut lol get it second hand and this sounds like a acoustic drum kit but with alot of drum kits :D

  • @RokerBorut Dude this is EQUAL to like 10 of the best acoustic kits AND the best cymbals!!! :p

  • @unduswaffel - yep, i bet it is :)

  • @unduswaffel - don't get me wrong - this electronic set is top of the line and it's great for what it is made for, but it can't beat the sound of real drumset made of best wood out there. And it's really expensive, 3 or 4 grands should be it's real price, not 7 or 8.

  • @RokerBorut

I agree with you but I think I would much rather have this kit in the studio hooked up to BFD then an actual kit...

  • @RokerBorut I'd rather have a studio quality sounding snare drum than that

  • Can you still use the hi-hat pedal as a bass drum pedal to get the double-kick kinda thing?

  • @Levopftw There,re 3 pedals

  • @bbkingzor was that a yes or a no?

  • i prefer my my porkpie little squealer :)

  • he kinda sounds like charlie sheen ;o must be #winning

  • U send ur products to the Brazil? Thx

  • its definentaly cool.. but nothing compares to the feel and sound of a good old fashioned wood kit :p

  • i just want an electric drums with double pedals i cant find any and this is too expensive

  • @MultiDanial1234 Hi mate! You can always buy an extentional double pedal, it might cost up to 200 dollar tho :)

  • @MultiDanial1234 your best bet it probably go to ruppsdrums - com. They have 3 options of a ton of free items like a snare stand, hi hat stand and double bass pedal.

  • @dantheman9856 thx

  • you must be a millioner or...a millioner to get them..

  • Their not worth 7 fucking grand!!!

  • i know a guy who would love to play drums, but he cant afford it to even have lessons.... why does this stuff always have to be that expensive???? :(((

  • @Kairiri1 cos the rich wankers who own roland wanna make more money despite the fact they hav more than whole fuckin cities hav! christ, i feel 4 ur guy, id fuckin like this awsum kit but i dnt wana go thru armed robbery 2 friggin get it! screw roland, they shud giv out cheaper, it probably costs under 200 quid 2 make in a factory in mutherfuckin indonesia!! like this thn the roland guys can see this and think!!

  • @satansskidmarks 2box drumit is as good as this kit and three times cheaper

  • Dw 9000 pedals

    I have those;)

Don't have the drums though :(

  • amazing kit, very expensive, but i have a chance to win it in the roland v-drums contest 2011. wish me luck!!

  • if this is too expensive. try the new td9kx2 way cheaper and its awesome. if you want a big set try the td12. also affordable. all from roland

  • how and i mean how do you rationalize buying these yes i admit they are very nice but for 7k? you can buy a good car for that!

  • He talks like Charlie Sheen...

  • @xHUTSEx he looks like charliue sheen.....

  • @xHUTSEx he looks like Charlie Sheen.....

  • @xHUTSEx Hahahahaha! Awesome!

  • im waiting for the price to drop about 6 grand

  • I need to sell one of my land to buy this drumset...

  • I'm gettin this for 1500£ instead of 5000£ because we know someone who can get them at trade price

  • I don't get it. Why would anyone want a edrum kit this big? It still sounds really digital. Just get a decent acoustic kit if you've got the room.

  • @Himmelgren You have no idea how much fun this kit is to have in your room being able to play whenever you want. And in 19 times out of 20 it sounds way better than any unmiced drumset.

  • @antibulletdodger101 Sounds better? Nooo.. It's just that 19 times out of 20 drummers don't know how to tune their instruments. I understand it's fun to have a practice kit at home, and edrums are good for that, but I just don't get the size of this one. But I guess there's a market for these things too. I'd still stick with a quality brain + ultracompact kit for practice and a TUNED acoustic kit for performance. No need to waste money on inferior produce. :)

  • @Himmelgren I dont agree. Tuning is seldom enough. The kit needs to be miced to get a good sound and then the price runs high.

  • @antibulletdodger101

In the best case mics are only there to record the already good, natural sound of the drums / heads. They're not there to modify or enhance the sound and are not neccessary to make the kit sound good. This of course is slightly dependent on the genre of music and your own opinion on what a "good sound" is. Usually we still want drums to sound like drums, not digital reproductions. Or mega-compressed and super-EQ'd grime.

  • @Himmelgren ... and of course playing live requires mics to amp the sound, but this should also be done as naturally as possible.. not because you need to fix bad sounding instruments or eliminate ringing or whatever.

  • I would need to sell my car 11 times to buy this

  • Checkout my covers on my roland td20 :)

  • this is sick... but 5k, id rather get the alesis dm10 studio for £700..

  • Its Charlie Sheen!!!!!!!!!! WINNING!!!!!!!!!!

  • lovin the house and the 40s bop kits

  • CHARLIE SHEEN

  • Check out the sound on this one.... will blow Yamaha and Roland out of competition within 2 years. The only e-kit selling in Europe at this point ( I got the last one available in Sweden until after the summer..)

    watch?v=YpjZWujoTDY

  • Today its my birthday, who want to give me this drum? :D as a present :PP?

  • @MusicDrumKid you buy from me for 2000 :)

  • @TypicalBrit why, do you want to sell it? ( I am from austria ) and i am impressed if its already good than a new one... give me some infos ;)

  • @MusicDrumKid nahh i dont really. pointless unfunny joke to be honest. i dont have this but i soo want it.

i got it all worked out. im gonna work as a roland product specialist and get this kit free or any percentage off ;) my life will be aimed at this kit

  • bad ass.....

  • i Want To buy it!!!

  • 3:06 ;)

  • Metal core. ROFL

  • so killer!...check out my custom TD 20 vit on my channel ...i love the new look of these

  • Atleast we all know what to get when we win the lottery:)

  • I am waiting for my order, should be here tomorrow, by the way I paid $6497 that included PM30, Rock Star Throne, and DW 9000 Hi Hat Stand. and the Head set.

  • my personal opinion on this price range they could have made some real looking cymbols here's my question why didn't they:(

  • would it be worth selling a acustic kit 4?

  • O_o

  • i really wish i had 3 grand :((

  • @Legomygrego16 7 grand :)

  • @bongomaster12345 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • when I get out from university, I will calculate how much money I need to live and the rest will go to this kit

  • Best. Electronic. Set. Ever. 'Nuff said. Would get it, but the 6000€ price doesn't make my wallet too happy.

  • @Edwardtehgreat found them with 2.800€ brand new :D

  • @alex3223223 WOAH. o_o

  • The Melodious setting interests me...is the configuration for the note cues similar to the mandala drum? How did the cymbal or his mounted toms know what pitch to pick?

  • Comment removed

  • This shit is so pricey. Anyone recommend a great, 'worthy of my money' electronic drum-kit to practice on, before shit throw my money on this baby? I've considered the TD4KX...But what are your suggestions?

  • @ownage369 @ownage369 Hey buddy. I own a TD4KS and I think it is an awesome drum kit. In my opinion keep with mesh heads. They have a great feel. JUST like real kits. Very responsive. Mine cost 1300. 25 kits. With option to add on a cymbal or head. Great kit for its money worth.

  • @ownage369 alesis have some good kits like the dm10, they are very good, without the big prices

  • Now that's some fine piece of hardware.

  • @freestylefilmsinc I don't know of many gf's that would buy their bf something this expensive. You are LUCKY.

  • I just bought a car same price.

  • The only bad thing about this product is the price.

Here in Brazil, you could buy a full studio + acoustic drums, instead of buying one Roland TD-20KX

But, I still prefer the TD-20KX...

    damn =[

  • my gf got me this i was like orgasm

  • Can you save your own Kits on this? Because I'd wanna have it set to where all three cymbals are Crashes

  • @elementalepidemic you can do that and a loooot more

  • Price????????

    precio???????

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THEY SELL THESE AT?

  • @R3D3MPT10NXD Guitarcenter, Music Go Round, rarely at pawn shops, just mainly music and electronic stores.
