  • I miss all these shows :(

  • I loved this show - I miss it - yes I had a huge crush on Michael and I still do

  • Loved the music and Patricia Wettig did, and still does, something for me !.

  • I never watched the show I wasn't into it when it aired. BUT I would RUN to the television to catch the theme. I really liked it. Then I changed the channel or went to bug the dog lol

  • Thanks for listening....I SOOO appreciate it God Bless

  • Thanks a million! It's one of my favorite TV series! I even recorded it on video tapes at that time. I'm so glad that I bought the soundtrack and can still enjoy the great music from time to time.=)

Thanks Mahoder777!!!!!!

  • GOD I had such a crush on Michael.... wonder how many other gay men did too.... he was such a sweet character...

  • doo dup dee diddley oo slam.....that's the way I remember it anyway..the last twiddley bit of the theme tune..know what I mean?

  • One of my top 5 tv theme songs of all times

  • Whatever a timeless piece!

  • @trent8002003 I am sooooo with you! right on!

  • WATCH LIFE UNEXPECTED MONDAYS @ 9/8c ON THE CW!

  • This is my mom's favorite show. I'm going to buy her the 1st season today. I really don't remember it that much because I was in diapers back then, but I love the theme song!

  • Great theme song, but for me the show was the whiniest, yikes

  • Was a huge huge fan. Have had the soundtrack since it come out on LP then CD. Love all of Snuffy's work! I'm right there with the rest of you . . . same problems, same kids toys, same hopes/dreams. Just bought the 1st Season on DVD. Interesting to watch being 20 yrs older. Great post Maxother777!

  • Great show, great music. Funny, when this video came to a close, and the song ended, my brain tacked on the "And danced by the light of the moon" a capella tag that the production studio used to close the credits at the end of the episode. Wonder if any one else had the same thought, lol.

  • On the original soundtrack CD that came out while the show was running, they had this extended version of theme (which they used to play on pop radio). The CD also has the shorter version actually used to close the show, and that one is followed by "And dance by the light of the moon.

The production studio was "The Bedford Falls Company" whose name was taken from the town in "It's A Wonderful LIfe", which film featured the characters singing "Buffalo Gals" which has those lyrics in the chorus.

  • @mfou1967 Very much so..a bit like the kitten that mewed at the end of another show. Know what you mean xxx

  • this show was on when I was in highschool...loved the theme song...and had a boy crush on Michael...wonder if any other guys found him so attractive....I was such a nerd....but loved that show

  • @timothyj1966

I remember discussing this show with a friend at my 20-year high school reunion in 1990, when I was 38. Ken Olin was 36 that year, right in my thirtysomething age group. As a gay man, I can definitely say I liked seeing him on TV and didn't mind at all when he took his shirt off . Nowadays Mr. Olin occasionally appears on Brothers and Sisters, playing the ex of Patricia Wettig's character, his real-life wife who was Nancy on thirtysomething. (How strange to be fiftysomething!)

  • @timothyj1966 the guy in Will and Grace must be driving you crazy

  • I'm a Brit and was living just south of Boston in Mass. when I first saw this series - early 1989, and the theme is still as fresh in my memory as are many of the episodes. I need to get this on DVD and re-watch it!

  • I loved this show, and even more, loved the Kitchen in Patricia Wettig's make believe house..

  • Oh my! This music makes me go all fuzzy! I forgot how awesome this song was. So freakishly nostalgic. And the fact that I am now thirty something myself freaks my freak even harder. Ah, memories of watching shows that were not appropriate for my age. The story of my life!

  • I hated this show, but I loved the theme song.

  • Im sorry to correct you...lol...but no one loved it more than our group, there was 6 of us three couples, we were all best friends, living in the early ninetys very small children just like Janie, all trying to juggle our respective careers, keeping our friendships and marriages together

this series, was our lives...we literally were the 30 somethings,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I would not have changed it for the world.

A truly inspired tv show...so well written

even now, I can still remember many of them.

  • BTW were any of the couples in your group same-sex couples? THAT sure has changed since this show was on air!

  • No one loved this show more than my husband and I! We were in our 20's when we watched it, and hearing this music brings back such warm memories. It was so well written and cast.

  • Awesome! Snuffy's best work!

Thanks for posting, and for the slide show. Great pics, too.

  • great show alongside Hillstreet Blues, my wife and I religiously watched this series sorry to see it end

GREAT SHOW thanks for the Entertainment.
