Throwing a fireball is normally a bad start to a fight with geif.

That and gief needs to be nerfed. Totally unbalanced. Hopefully that gets fixed in SSF4.

My two favourite characters. So happy_^) You should try experimenting with his air hurricane kick. If you do it fast enough right after a jump it can catch people off guard and move very quickly across after you move through them. I'm still experimenting on it myself ;p

I notice this gouken rarely EVER goes for the big dmg palm combos even when there's a possible link from a hit, he just goes into the jab string.

I'm talking about linking FROM dive kick INTO at LEAST a crouching HP, which allows for a some time for hit confirmation which can go into ex palm, instead of a jab, *genius*

I said crouching HP not dive kick, learn to read, and what I'm pointing out is clearly seen at several points, 1:09 you hit but went into jab, why?

2:29 again you landed but still with the jabs, why?

3:39 again you landed but you couldn't even link into a jab, which has 4 frame startup compared to 6 frame crouching which would STILL link no matter what FROM the demon kick, like I said, you don't go for big dmg combos, just little pokes and those linking opportunities would have helped you win.

There is no such thing as a 'CHEAP' character, there are just tactics that you can't get around and get frustrated... its much easier to call someone/character cheap than to learn their weaknesses... basically there is a word that would describe those who call any tactic cheap... starts with a N ends with a B?... anyone?

If u say Zangief is a cheap char, try to do his ult, without jumping... Tacchi ultimate atomic buster... after u manage to do this, try to pop it anytime ingame, to counter moves, then if easy ult setup Ryu/Sagat players, u can say Zangief is a cheap char, otherwise u should be quiter...

good video and I agree that Zangief is a cheap character. Not to say that fireballs are cheap as well but anyway... Zangief is a powerhouse. Whew!

I strongly disagree. Gouken is a much "cheaper" character than Zangief. Like Gouki you can sit there all day and throw fireballs.

I've played against Goukens that spammed fireballs all match long for the win. To top it off he can deflect moves.

There's a reason Gouken is banned from some tournaments.

Yea Zangief has a lariat, but there's nothing he can do unless he's an inch away from you. He has no projectile, he's slow as a turtle, and he does not have a cannon ball move.
