well, i have straightline, and flatline. the flatline comes together in package, bought it from ansgear(dot)com. I dont use much of flatline though because the pallet travels slow, I dont have the meter devise to measure the speed so that i'd get 300f/s & <. and it doesnt look good with my huge 3-9x zoom scope. since people keep saying that straightline is the best for sniping, and ion longbow came into picture, never heard of it till few days back.. just wondering if its better, im off for one.
To be honest I have no experiance with the straightline barrel. As far as I can tell you the AGD Tac-One with Special Ops Paintball's Q-Bow kit is the most accurate and reliable gun out there. I would also still have to say don't use your scope for anything other then observation, if you can't see it with the naked eye the gun isn't going to hit it more than 10% of the time.
can Blackcell beat Tippmann? I like ion longbow, don't know if it can perform better than tippmann straightline barrel, not that i'm on tippmann's side. I just like to fix my 3x zoom scope on markers and snipe people's heads in the woods. ion longbow KIT itself is expensive than the complete basic X7, and it (ion) looks so "fastball". so i'm expecting better accuracy, hell i don't care how it looks like, I'll just go for the performance. ion longbow owners, please come forward!! :)
The Tippman guns are very reliable, well rounded markers. The flatline barrel will get the ball out there but not accurately. It puts backspin on the ball which really slows it down as well. It just kind of hovers along slow enough to actually dodge if you see it coming. My ION Q-Bow is extremely accurate up to about 35 yards and I can hit a person sized target 75% of the time at up to 50 yards.
If youre looking for accuracy over anything else, I'd recommend you splurge and get an AGD Tac-One and pimp it out with a Q-Bow kit. As for you 3x scope, its great for observation but as a personal rule of thumb, if you cant see it in a red dot scope youre not going to hit it consistently.
lol i put a thumbs up though made it even again and ive asked special ops if they could make a longbow kit for the mini i own 1 apparently but there is almost no upgrades for them and abslutely no body kits and agd is way to expensive for me
