I've come to learn it's just that university. they enjoy to drink $4 beer till they get kicked out by security and listen to music they don't enjoy and tell the band they suck. Being from the maritiimes, I'm glad a local band has flourished in such a way as Wintersleep has. However, I think they should go back to their roots and continue to make music like they used to. Lipstick is a great example, also orca, a long flight and insomnia. Those were among their best songs. Black camera and Preservation, their newest "hits" leave much to be desired, at least for my musical tastes. It seems to me just like they've stopped trying--instead, they just repeat one or two words.

I'm glad to have seen them twice before they got massively popular. Wintersleep is an awesome band, even better live! At least, their shows rocked in the small venue I saw them in. I'm looking forward to seeing them in September, if I can. :)

Saw Wintersleep in Berlin, was very dissappointed by the amount of noiseniking. It displays a deep lack of musicianship. They have the odd good song but for most of the set decended into atonal guitar trashing etc. boring!

these guys have become my favorite band, too bad i didn't hear about them earlier, I like where their at in popularity at the moment, if you are really a fan of a band you care about their best interest, it makes no sense to hate when a band gets popular, good for them, they deserve it

I don't like it when people look at a band being popular as a terrible thing. You shouldn't try to be popular just to be popular, but if you end up being popular anyway, how is it a bad thing?

i just see at as a bad thing to when it comes down to concert viewing for me. Once you get the crazy obsessive fans who "love" the band members and shout it not even as a joke, then concert attending isn't so much about the music, but how big of a fan you are.

The Joel Plaskett show I went to I was up front, and I was just enjoying the music, but I was surrounded by die hards pushing me away from the front. I had a death grip on the bar so I wouldn't loose my place. I'm a short person, I can't see the band or hear them farther back because bodies are like sound proofing.

I love going to the concert for both the crowd and the band, imagine what it was like to see the beatles, or elvis back in the day, it wasn't about solitude or individual interaction with the band, ITS A SPECTACLE.

I rather them not get over played, and over obsessed. It makes their music much more enjoyable when people aren't screaming at their concerts, professing their love to Paul's voice, or Loel drumming away. I hate going to concerts where I can't even see the band because I'm pushed to the back by obsessed fans who probably don't understand the lyrics.

It came true when I saw them live. Surrounded by sweaty drunk people who wouldn't let you stand up. I waited forever to see them, only to get annoyed enough to move back because I couldn't breath nor stand up. Most of them weren't fans and weren't there to enjoy but to get shitfaced. Thanks guys.

They came to my university and I was sure to get tickets to see them! :D The drinkers were behind a barricade behind us, so just sweaty creepy people left and people who got drunk beforehand XD

Had this one weirdo who said I was there only for the percentages and kept trying push a girl I was with. He tried touching her and stuff. My friend said it smelled like hot dogs, we turned around, he was right there. Creep. Anyway, great live show though :D
