To make the colors pop more, also there is a slight blue glitter in the black shadow, and it is further enhanced with the blue base :)

This is MAC Fafi's Boom. But it is easily found in other lines. Just look for a dark magenta with a little pink color :)

Blending-I like the 217 because it is shorter. But softer brushes like the 224 also work nice, but it doesn't pick up a lot of color like the 217

You can use any color you like. Doesn't matter

I use high quality products because they are more pigmented and I save money in the long run. Use what you like. If you know of a good drug store line that has more bang for your buck then use it. But remember to compare oz vs price because sometimes you end up paying more per ounce with drug store lines.
