first synth i ever had (still have) :D u missed a couple of good bits, sliding them 2 backing enhancers at the top to number 5 then activating synth pannel carries the synth side into the acompniment section & enhances backings further (also biggest problem with the 470 was when playing a backing with "full finger" choards, u can only hold 2 keys at a time outside the backing section of the keyboard) the 570 allows choards with both hands
Thanks for posting this vid! Brings lot of memories, it was my first keyboard! You could model your own sounds with "Digital Synthesiser" section. So powerfull for beginers. I'll try to get old analog tape recordings and post those early songs of mine. To bad I sold it...
@Zyrna539 If you see my video of the PSS-470, I showed off the Synthesizer section on that keyboard, I didn't do it on this keyboard because the Synthesizer section feature was exactly the same as the PSS-470 and I only had a time limit of 10 minutes at the time so I had to skip the Synth section to save time but I hope you enjoyed the video of the other features that this keyboard has :)
don't these classic keyboards make very cool realistic seagull sounds too? Amazing :-D I own a 470, and have had it since i was about 12 years old...i'm now 35, and it's still going strong and i still have the original box etc....classic :-D
I've had a PSS-570 keyboard since 1989 and it still plays well. You can use the digital synth sliders to variate the preset tones. Select one of the preset tones and then use the digital synth sliders to variate the tone (do not turn the synth on, but just use the sliders; otherwise you'll have the synth itself). I prefer the PSS-470 custom drummer more, which is truly "customized" and not "preset" like the custom drummer on the PSS-570. Thanks for the demo!
you forgot the most important thing, the only one that makes this model really superior to the PSS 460:
You can affect the sound of the accompaniement with the synthesizer. Push bass and chords sliders to 5, push the on buttons for both bass/chord and digital synthesizer.
I had this keyboard except the model number of mine was PSS560; the only difference was the buttons were not multi coloured; they were mainly green and orange. The sounds were all FM 2 operator synthesis which were editable if in a very limited way. The drums were sampled PCM as you say.
I once took this along to a band I thought about joining as a young teenager in the 1980s. The band never even realised that it was a mere home keyboard! This was possibly due to the conservative look.
Hi Mick. Yes I remember the differences between these keyboards such as the drum sounds & with the 570 you can as you say change the backing voice. I've got a Roland E86, Micro Korg XL, Roland SH-201, Yamaha PSR2700 sampler I'm selling the 2700. As I say, I've just bought a Juno G & I have a Yamaha PSR3000 so yeh, I got a handful of good keyboards as you can see. As I say though these keyboards were good in their time & indeed these bring back memories for me. Cheers again from Rich

You didn't even show off the synthesizer section! That's makes this keyboard so wonderful!

@Ironlord2015 The seagull sounds are not coming from the keyboard unfortunately, would be good if it did!
The seagull noise is coming from outside as I live right near the coast and they can be very annoying!
Thanks for watching!

@sebnewyork I just tried out what you've just told me and I didnt know that digital synthesizer effects the styles as well.
My god I feel like a n00b now ;)
Thanks for pointing that out for me :)
