I've been watching tihs movie tonight and can't tell that they ever reveal what Michael's been doing for 15 years since Halloween II. I got it that he survived the explosion in the hospital and that he waited 15 years to find Laurie again, and that there is no continuity between the other sequels, so where has he been living and doing all that time? Just curious.
@wishbone382 20 years. Halloween 1 and 2 are 1978, this was 1998. According to Resurrection he had been hiding out in the basement under the house. But that is stupid becaise the plot line ignores 4 thorugh 6.
What the fuck? they could have just got the actual audio from the first film instead of getting some bullshit copy version that sounds nothing like Donald Pleasence.
“I met him, fifteen years ago. I was told there was nothing left. No reason, no conscience, no understanding; even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong. I met this six-year-old child, with this blank, pale, emotionless face and, the blackest eyes… the *devil’s* eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy’s eyes was purely and simply… *evil*.”
I found 4 to be really fun, though I still rank it below the three you mentioned. I thought 3 was okay as a standalone horror film. 5 has Danielle Harris who turns in another good performance but it is weak in all other areas. 6 was a mess. And RESURRECTION was an insult to the great ending H20 provided. But still, I think 4 was pretty good.
@GrandUpper agreed that resurrection was probably the worst halloween movie but it was still nice to see another halloween movie, 10 times better than the other modern bullshit that's called "horror"
@Wurmo Dude Halloween 3 did not have nothing to do with the movie, so u wanted to end on that? Your stupid. All of the original Halloween movies from the 1978 original up to Halloween resurrection was good. Rob zombies movies are not that good
like when the picture of michael myers scare the shit out of me when i was little, i always used to close my eyes, becaus it was creepy. But now i can stare at it :3
This intro is very creepy, not just the music, but the whole room itself is rather creepy. The voice of doctor Loomis cutting in every know & then, the cut outs of the whole Michael Myers case, the info about Laurie Strode. Even the thunder snapping at the start is quite spooky. But the sketch of Michael has to be the scarist thing of all, those eyes are pure evil. The whole build up gives me shivers even now. But anyway I think its a great movie & Jamie Lee is my all time favorite actress :]
@LilMizMyerz19 Haha its great dude, it really gets u into the film before it even starts properly! In my opinion the halloween series ended here, when laurie finerly killed michael & could go back to living a normal life. Sort of anyway :)
@funnyfan93 I know! I feel the same! I wish it could of ended here.. and wish it was actually Michael they killed, but too bad it was a paramedic.. message me on here or on facebook if you have one! I would love to continue the convo. I just hate commenting on my videos -__- hahahaha
@funnyfan93@LiMizMyerz19 The intro is incredible! I only wish they had used Donald Pleasence's voice, however it was a sound a like :( Still fantastic!
halloween movies all suck even the original one in 1978 the only chilling part was at the last 10 min of the movie the rest of it was like a meaningless storyline and a waste of time errgh
Does anyone else notice the screw up? The man says michael killed his sister in 1963 when he was 6, then he breaks out 15 years later at the age of 21 and tries to kill Lourie, but the newspaper talking about her "death" referred to the murders in 1968, and her yearbook photo is class of 78 : /
@ChappatinoAlamainFan They had every intention of making a sequel off of H20. JLC said as much, that she was contracted for one full film, and would appear in the next installment. They knew at the time they were filming H20 that it would not be the last film.
@Junkotrasher123 I agree! Or...if they wanted to continue the story after H20, then they should have had Michael go after Laurie's son John. It makes more sense that he would go after his nephew (just like he went after his niece in H4-6) instead of going after random people filming a series in his house.

@Dank951 Nah, Rob Zombie has said he only intended there to be two movies in "his" timeline. He has no interest in making any more Halloween films...although there are rumors floating around the 'net that Halloween 3D will be set in Zombie's timeline, not the original Halloween timeline >_>
@LilMizMyerz19 exactly my thoughts !!! zombie interpreted the whole thing with too much of a heavy metal, gothic rock n`roll twist, but he totally missed out the whole atmosphere that made it creepy and eerie to begin with.
@sgal88 I forgot when they are/ or if they already did start making the movie.. but yes, their making a new one, but Rob ISN'T, (Thank the lord ) making the movie.
@LilMizMyerz19 But it will be a continuation of Robs crappy movie. Hopefully they will make it better. I personally found the new Jason movei (2009) far better and truer to the original than the Halloween movie! I think they should scrap the 2 movies and make a new one and start from 1.
@Wolfpack8706 I actually think they put a stop to the movie now.. haven't had time to check up on it. I've been busy with school and stuff. Ugh. -_____-
Having LL Cool J,that alone makes it a piece of shit. I can tell from the positive reviews of this crap sequel that it's a bunch of teenager, who don't know shit about a great horror movie if it hit'em upside their head.
@its177 I thought Halloween 4 was alright it was the same old stuff with him killing them and not some weird curse or some guy walking around in cowboy boots or what ever els was in the sequels to number 4
I think the only two that stuck with the original story line was Halloween II and H2O.. the other ones were good but I like the original storyline between Michael and Laurie.. this was also the last one for me.. I don't think he could've come back after this so I didn't even bother watching Resurrection..
@terilepper509 well laurie is in ressurection for a little bit, and they just made the ending of H20 pointless. it seems that micheal had ACTUALLY snapped a security guards neck then switched clothes with him so he seemed like the guard was michael. this happened after laurie threw him off the side of the balcony. so laurie just chopped off the guards head at the end. it really makes no sense. halloween ressurection sucked anyways.
@its177 4 was pretty good. They needed a better storyline for transition 5 and 6 because without Danielle 6 was dead and only made it to where Steven is noticed as being a family member alive, along with this one having John. Where is Halloween 9: Bloodline? I want to see him go after the final 2 and die.
@its177 I liked all the movies but Halloween 4 was pointless to you? That movie was actually a pretty good sequel and a good follow-up to Parts 1 and 2.
@its177 i agree, resurrection should have never been done and it should have ended here. The storyline of how it was a paramedic that got chopped doesn't even make plausble sense. No normal person will fly through a van window, sit up like the undertaker, then get rammed into by the van, then thrown into a tree and then have the van pin you against the tree and still be alive.
yup. For me it ended with this one. But it was kinda funny though when Laurie chopped his head off it I bet she like "Damn, why didn't i just do this in the beginning?" lol. Good ending tho.
Only if you really knew the truth behind the series, you might be thinking differently about Halloween and Michael!! Real name was David Michael (Ohio)
i remember watching this in a small cabin upstate away from everyone, and i was alone, and everyone was asleep, and my mom was down stairs putting away stuff, and i was seriously crying! lol
Halloween H20 is one of my favorite halloween movies. It fit in within the rest of the series because it was 20 years later since it was twenty years since the murders in 1978. Halloween Resurrection was ok, but it didn't fit. Jamie lee Curtis' chacter death was too soon and they should michael myershave build into it. When they come out with Halloween 3, they should have michael go after his nephew (his sister's son), because he is his last blood relative.
@MrHorrorking13 I haven't seen this but that would be interesting, but no, they're more interested in continuing the remake series. Have you ever heard of a series that was remade, then continued the original series.
@TheSilentClown1 Oh yeah. Though, if you're talking about the Godzilla with Matthew Brodreck then that wasn't really a remake that was more like an American version.
@TheCinemaTologist John Carpenter intended the Halloween film series to be a variety of stories, not only about Michael Myers. The third film however (even though it was pretty cool) did not do so well at the box office and they decided to go back to the original idea of Michael Myers. The ending to Halloween II was supposed to have been the actual death of Michaels character.
@eanielsen123 I know, I enjoy all the Halloween movies, Except the remakes, those made me even appreciate Halloween Resurrection...yeah. But I just meant that this sequel is the only one that didn't take another crazy plot twist and felt as real as the first.
@TheCinemaTologist I thought Rob Zombie did a pretty cool job with the first Halloween. Halloween has been my favorite movie since I was in kindergarten. Myers was always like a childhood superhero to me lol. But Zombie did a good twist of the original and made it really his. The 2nd was just absolutely atrocious though. I didnt watch it because I heard that there were ghosts in it and I was all set on that.

Nothing beats the first 2 Halloween films though.
@TheAtomic1234321 Jamie died in Halloween 6, at the beginning because they tried to nick her baby but a women saved her. Not for long tho because michael killed them both. Not sure what happened to Jamie's baby!
@MrDisgusting84 oh gimme a break. H20 is the only Halloween movie that you'll see on the Lifetime channel for christ sake. The message of these flicks is 'Evil never dies", not 'Overcome your fears".....lame.
Don't you think all horror movies have to have a moment in one squeal that the main character has to stop running from the killer and face the monster already I mean that's what Sigourney Weavers character did in Aliens, Jamie Lee Curtis said she wanted this moment in the film, we had enough of that running in H1 and H2 this film is like the third installment because shes in it and that would make it a trilogy and if its a trilogy film your going to need know a set of rules.
@Diabound66 I can agree with that when it comes to his first HalloweeN film, but, although it did have elements of other horror (Rob is, after all, a huge horror fan), his second movie was for the most part original. People always crap on the 'mom telling him what to do", but they fail to realize it's not his mom, or her ghost, it's his conscience. Anyhow, like I said, I agree with his first film lacking originality, but only the Carpenter parts that the studio forced in.
@TheSilentClown1 True. But that's the thing with Micheal, it's the unconsious mind. It was somewhat explained in Halloween 2( the original). When i heard that, i kinda started to be come obsessed with Micheal Myers.
@Diabound66 That's Carpenter's Michael though, Rob's is a whole new animal, after all, why remake it if it's going to be the same? Honestly I wish there was never a sequel to the original....that was such a badass ending, not knowing where he was....
@TheSilentClown1 what the heck is wrong with you are you retarted they rock well some of them do 5 6 reserection the remake and h2 suck 3 is ok i understand why you think that theyu are all retarted but 1 2 4 7 rock
Halloween H20 its far along to be a bad sequel as the others, the movie its so cool, the final was very good and for me this is the last halloween version, resurrection, never existed, the score is perfect on this movie and then an idiot made halloween resurrection and killed the main caracther.. stupid
Wait. I'm confused. SInce they ignored Jamie Lloyd in this one. Why did they show the scissors, I mean didn't Jamie attack her step mother with scissors in the end of H4.
The actress that played Marion Wittington, is played by Nancy Stephens, she was in Halloweens 1, 2, and H20, she's married to director Rick Rosenthal who directed Halloween 2 and Halloween: Resurrection(which he made a cameo appearance as Dr. Mixter.
Ok! jhon ottman did the score of the movie, BUT in soime scenes the music its from SCREAM and SCREAM 2, and the score was made by marco beltrami, and by the way, the producers never asked to marco if they can use his music on this movie, check in winkipedia for more info.
On the Dvd, it sounds nearly like him, it just hasn't got the wheeze. But it was probably youtube compression that makes it sound like it isn't loomis.
I wished they could have used some audio of Donald Pleasence, that would have added a lot. H20 was pretty good as far as the sequels were concerned, but I missed Dr. Loomis =( It just doesn't feel like Halloween without him.
Yeah, and Donald Pleasence was asked to appear in Halloween: H20, he said "Sure" then he had that replacement valve heary surgery and died from complications.
Woah, now everyone thinks this movie is shit because I beat the crap out of Michael. And I profer it if u don't call me his 'baby' sister. Michael had to end somehow. He can't just go on forever.
THIS ISN'T A REMAKE, THIS IS 20 YEARS LATER.. When she killed him! ( ressurection shouldnt have been made period. Terrible) and Myers is like 60 now so Busta killed his character.. sad! Laurie Strode killed him like it was supposed to be done. 1978 to 1998.. 20 years later. NOT A REMAKE!
I love seeing the map of Illinois and seeing lake county with the pins in them heh. This movie was good, 1, 2 and H20.. Best. Rob Zombie made his own, but destroyed the original thought of it. I still think they are good, but just straight up nothing creepy. Kinda lame. But he's got talent.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
what do people see in this movie? it's not even remotely scary, Michael looks like a kid dressing up as Michael Myers. He is a pussy, he lets his damn baby sister beat the shit out of him. The setting and atmosphere is not good at all. So please tell me why everyone likes this movie!

i tottaly agree with you...this movie sucked only the classic ones that John Carpenter Made was the good ones...this is a poor remake..Micheal is Supposed to a Be a Fucking Bad ass who dont take shit from no one! and now he is lettin His Baby Sister Get to him and Beat the shit out of him! wow....this was a Shitty Remake!
I'm a college student and on some nights i bring this film out and watch it again and again... Im starting to think H20 is my all-time fave! PLUS i was able to see it in theaters in 98!
one of the reasons this movie was so good cuz it was also directed by steve miner one of the directors of friday the 13th 1-2 4 n jason gose to hell n jason x
Fun Fact: The character "Fitz" is Beau Billingslea, who happens to be the voice of Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop and several other anime.

To me this is an ok film, but I don't like the fact that Donald Pleasence is not in this film ( I know that he had passed away before this movie)

@its177 haha same here for me dude, I figure I stick to those and I'm good, makes sense, h20 ties it off well to me.
c0dy1287 1 year ago
@its177 I thought Halloween 4 was alright it was the same old stuff with him killing them and not some weird curse or some guy walking around in cowboy boots or what ever els was in the sequels to number 4
jamesdean220103 1 year ago
@jamesdean220103
it wasn't that halloween 4 was bad, it just wasn't needed storyline wise.
its177 1 year ago
I think the only two that stuck with the original story line was Halloween II and H2O.. the other ones were good but I like the original storyline between Michael and Laurie.. this was also the last one for me.. I don't think he could've come back after this so I didn't even bother watching Resurrection..
terilepper509 1 year ago
@terilepper509 well laurie is in ressurection for a little bit, and they just made the ending of H20 pointless. it seems that micheal had ACTUALLY snapped a security guards neck then switched clothes with him so he seemed like the guard was michael. this happened after laurie threw him off the side of the balcony. so laurie just chopped off the guards head at the end. it really makes no sense. halloween ressurection sucked anyways.

everything seems to be perfect in this opening, until the name "LL COOL J" appears in 1:57 :D...the rest of the video is really epic...

i like em all except 3 cause 3 had nothing to do with him lolz buh mainly 1 2 4 6 and H2O not to mention rob zombie's H2
GeeQ224 1 year ago
@its177 4 was pretty good. They needed a better storyline for transition 5 and 6 because without Danielle 6 was dead and only made it to where Steven is noticed as being a family member alive, along with this one having John. Where is Halloween 9: Bloodline? I want to see him go after the final 2 and die.

I had goosebumps an inch high watching this in the theatre.
Best version of this theme ever. Go, John Ottman.
"I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely, simply evil..." Theme drops. Epic.

@its177 I liked all the movies but Halloween 4 was pointless to you? That movie was actually a pretty good sequel and a good follow-up to Parts 1 and 2.
harriettewinslow 1 year ago
@harriettewinslow
It was good but in terms of story it was really pointless. Storyline wise 1,2, then H2O makes the most sense.
its177 1 year ago
@its177 I see. You're more into the Laurie Strode storyline. I'm not though. I just look at the series as a whole.
harriettewinslow 1 year ago
@its177 i agree, resurrection should have never been done and it should have ended here. The storyline of how it was a paramedic that got chopped doesn't even make plausble sense. No normal person will fly through a van window, sit up like the undertaker, then get rammed into by the van, then thrown into a tree and then have the van pin you against the tree and still be alive.
michaelandymyers 1 year ago
@michaelandymyers
yup. For me it ended with this one. But it was kinda funny though when Laurie chopped his head off it I bet she like "Damn, why didn't i just do this in the beginning?" lol. Good ending tho.

@michaelandymyers Yeah it wouldve been an ending to remember for Micheal.

MrHorrorking13 1 year ago
@MrHorrorking13 I haven't seen this but that would be interesting, but no, they're more interested in continuing the remake series. Have you ever heard of a series that was remade, then continued the original series.

TheCinemaTologist 1 year ago 17
@TheCinemaTologist In my own opinion the only canon films would be 1,2,H20 and unfortunately Resurrection.
CrazyEnglishman 7 months ago
@TheCinemaTologist John Carpenter intended the Halloween film series to be a variety of stories, not only about Michael Myers. The third film however (even though it was pretty cool) did not do so well at the box office and they decided to go back to the original idea of Michael Myers. The ending to Halloween II was supposed to have been the actual death of Michaels character.
eanielsen123 5 months ago
@eanielsen123 I know, I enjoy all the Halloween movies, Except the remakes, those made me even appreciate Halloween Resurrection...yeah. But I just meant that this sequel is the only one that didn't take another crazy plot twist and felt as real as the first.
TheCinemaTologist 5 months ago
@TheCinemaTologist I thought Rob Zombie did a pretty cool job with the first Halloween. Halloween has been my favorite movie since I was in kindergarten. Myers was always like a childhood superhero to me lol. But Zombie did a good twist of the original and made it really his. The 2nd was just absolutely atrocious though. I didnt watch it because I heard that there were ghosts in it and I was all set on that.
Nothing beats the first 2 Halloween films though.

TheSilentClown1 1 year ago
Don't you think all horror movies have to have a moment in one squeal that the main character has to stop running from the killer and face the monster already I mean that's what Sigourney Weavers character did in Aliens, Jamie Lee Curtis said she wanted this moment in the film, we had enough of that running in H1 and H2 this film is like the third installment because shes in it and that would make it a trilogy and if its a trilogy film your going to need know a set of rules.

@TheSilentClown1 hey......
Diabound66 1 year ago
@Diabound66 I can agree with that when it comes to his first HalloweeN film, but, although it did have elements of other horror (Rob is, after all, a huge horror fan), his second movie was for the most part original. People always crap on the 'mom telling him what to do", but they fail to realize it's not his mom, or her ghost, it's his conscience. Anyhow, like I said, I agree with his first film lacking originality, but only the Carpenter parts that the studio forced in.
TheSilentClown1 1 year ago
@TheSilentClown1 True. But that's the thing with Micheal, it's the unconsious mind. It was somewhat explained in Halloween 2( the original). When i heard that, i kinda started to be come obsessed with Micheal Myers.
Diabound66 1 year ago
@Diabound66 That's Carpenter's Michael though, Rob's is a whole new animal, after all, why remake it if it's going to be the same? Honestly I wish there was never a sequel to the original....that was such a badass ending, not knowing where he was....

Heh the voice narrator. That suppose to be Loomis, sounds nothing like him lol
GYPSYQUEEN5050 2 years ago
On the Dvd, it sounds nearly like him, it just hasn't got the wheeze. But it was probably youtube compression that makes it sound like it isn't loomis.
krimsonstorm96 2 years ago
I wished they could have used some audio of Donald Pleasence, that would have added a lot. H20 was pretty good as far as the sequels were concerned, but I missed Dr. Loomis =( It just doesn't feel like Halloween without him.
MrToothlessGrin 2 years ago 6
Yeah, and Donald Pleasence was asked to appear in Halloween: H20, he said "Sure" then he had that replacement valve heary surgery and died from complications.

Kinda lame. But he's got talent.

what do people see in this movie? it's not even remotely scary, Michael looks like a kid dressing up as Michael Myers. He is a pussy, he lets his damn baby sister beat the shit out of him. The setting and atmosphere is not good at all. So please tell me why everyone likes this movie!
