lol it's easier (if its a pair of chained handcuffs) to break one of the links on the corner of something mettal or any metal that can act as a wedge (like your leg shackles) this technique has been used successfully countless times. Unless in a adrenaline pumping situation its VERY difficult to cause yourself pain like that (if you say it's not you ARE lying or have no idea)

Police are trained to check that prisoners have not soaped or lubricated their hands as that alone and without any need for removing digits or breaking/dislocating bones is enough to slip the cuffs over the wrist. Takes a considerable amount of force, but many prisoners have escaped cuffs that way.

Hell some particularly large prisoners have broken cuffs by sheer muscular strength.

actually some people can bend there own thumb over and there hand becomes the width of there wrist my brother can do that or could just use a pin to lift the ratchet that holds the handcuff gear thingies it's not a complex mechanism to figure out but most police use zip ties instead of cuffs now can do about the same thing with a pin and those but it needs to be really small and it's hard to do without jabbing yourself
