The room is fucking horrible! Wasn't even initially made to be part if the silent hill series, then last minute some dick wad decided, fuck it! I agree with everyone here the room is a slap in the face to any hardcore Hill fan.
If you like portable survival horror another good game is dementium. It got several awards on the original ds.They said they will make a 3rd one only if people hve high demand for it. For details go to dementium 3d facebook page then hit like. then scroll the page to find a link. it sais southpeak games contact. then send an email asking for the game. It rocks. trust me. it has the best graphics on the original ds and it ran at 60fps. Its like doom meets silent hill with a touch of res evil.

Ah climax...Such a great job you did on this game (except for the last boss...) But as soon as Konami lets you do it yourself, you create shattered memories. The biggest shit storm Silent hill has ever seen since it's coal fire...Hopefully this new 3rd party company will make Downpour a smash hit and restore hope in...what is one of the best horror franchises in history. =T We can only hope.

Because the best games aren't centered around just the graphics. Mind you, this isn't the best Silent Hill game. But, it's still a better when compared to some Non-Silent Hill games.

@TheGoku1990 They're similar in how they play. Well, sorta. It's more a matter of story preference I think: Do you want bio-engineering gone wrong, or occult delusions of another world? One tiers towards science, the other occult. It would just get redundant from here.

... Kinda' hate to be the one to point it out, but if someone actually got burned up like that, EVERY MOVEMENT THEY WOULD MAKE WOULD BE PAINFUL. That means that even though Travis was rescuing her, it probably hurt like HELL for Alessa once she was picked up, bounced around while Travis ran, and put on the loose soil.
This is so true xD I think it was pretty obvious in the movie, when it is explained that she is still in pain, probably why she's so pissed off and turned even a little bit crazy, but only a little bit, of course.

Then again, it was Origins, Silent Hill, in the midst of the first and third one is the second game, the third game, and then the aftermath of the third game came Fourth, and I think Fifth occurs sometimes either during or beofre the first game, but that's just a theory

It's Silent Hill: Origins, Silent Hill, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, Silent hill 4: The Room, Silent Hill: Homecoming and then Shattered Memories. Origins, storywise, is the first of the series, but as for the game timeline it is Silent Hill that came out first

well technically no, but yes. Yes because it is a sequel to the first Silent Hill game titled just "Silent Hill" released by Konami. Heres the thing, they came out with Silent Hill, Then Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4: The Room, then Silent Hill Origins which is a sequel to the original Silent Hill, Then Silent Hill: Homecoming, and the newest one is Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Don't trust me 100% on that cuz idk if its right. but thats how I interpret it.
It takes place before silent hill (first one) so basically its the beginning of the story but not the game, here are the games in order Silent Hill,Silent 2,Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4 The Room, Silent Hill Origins, Silent Hill Homecoming (5), then Silent Hill Shattered Memories which is the reimagining.

Then again, it was Origins, Silent Hill, in the midst of the first and third one is the second game, the third game, and then the aftermath of the third game came Fourth, and I think Fifth occurs sometimes either during or beofre the first game, but that's just a theory

This game had alot more elementsthen most other silent hills
like for one (Thank you very much for this) You can use your freakin fist to fight ;)
Two, the weapons break, but that gave it a certain scare to it :)
three, most of the places were huge, and sometimes you would run into some very hard monsters to kill
not bad game overall, but i felt somethings could have been more polished

It's Silent Hill: Origins, Silent Hill, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, Silent hill 4: The Room, Silent Hill: Homecoming and then Shattered Memories. Origins, storywise, is the first of the series, but as for the game timeline it is Silent Hill that came out first

Well, less of a re-make, and more of a re-imagining: because of that, it isn't considered canon in the main storyline.

well technically no, but yes. Yes because it is a sequel to the first Silent Hill game titled just "Silent Hill" released by Konami. Heres the thing, they came out with Silent Hill, Then Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4: The Room, then Silent Hill Origins which is a sequel to the original Silent Hill, Then Silent Hill: Homecoming, and the newest one is Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Don't trust me 100% on that cuz idk if its right. but thats how I interpret it.

It takes place before silent hill (first one) so basically its the beginning of the story but not the game, here are the games in order Silent Hill,Silent 2,Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4 The Room, Silent Hill Origins, Silent Hill Homecoming (5), then Silent Hill Shattered Memories which is the reimagining.
