I usually hate Smiths covers because I don't think they do justice to the original, but this one keeps the appropriate melancholia. Listening to this version is most pleasing when you know the original, as Low seem to merely hint at certain notes, providing an interesting stereo effect with your brain...

wow, i would not belive that this particular smiths song could be performed more dramatic then the original until i heard this. it's great, but somehow, after a few times i listened to it i nonetheless must admit, i still like the original a little bit more. but it's also great to have a song that you like so much in different versions!

In all honesty, this is up there with morrissey. I have listened to both carefully, and Mozza's intro with background disturbances builds tension and anticipation, but Low crystallise the melancholy and focus it to a sharp point within a few bars. Sparhawk's vocal is marvellous.
