Hum....I ran a 12.9 on my 260z with 280zx turbo swap. My turbo was smaller than stock (blew the original) and the motor had right over 200k miles on it. I was only on 15psi. Swaped the turbo for a 62-1 and walla....11.95 @ 116.7 @ 15psi. Still a original motor. Havent been able to get to thae track on 22psi yet. hahaha
No everything else doesn't suck. But old 260 and 280 Zs do. I know, I've driven a bunch of them. By comparison to a C5Z06, they are an utter hunk of garbage. You could build a Ford Pinto or Chevy Vega to completely rape your modded 260 for far less money, but it's still a POS. Same thing, understand? If you still don't get it, work hard, buy a nice car, then you will understand.

My car pulls 1.0 gs bone stock, (and mine does that much better than stock) has the braking power to light the ABS at 140mph, the cooling to do that every lap for over 20 minutes, and I have over 15 hours of on track racing expirience. And as you learn how to drive and see how your car stacks up to real compitition on the track, you will quickly find you need to move up to something better. Or turn your Z into an unstreetable track car.

Actually 280Z's are in the 2800lb range. Ok...so you turn up the boost on the RB25 to match the head/cam car...so how far can you turn up the boost before you need to start running race gas while the Z06 can keep on running plain ol' 91 octane and still make more power. It's a losing battle. Displacement isn't everything, but it sure as hell makes things easier!
actually for the 280z's by removing the big old front and rear chrome bumpers and swapping out the L28 with a rb25det will set the car around 2500lbs.

Z06's r not all that they are beautiful cars but with all the motor setups available to a 280z u would have to be crazy to think a Z06 could kill it. THat modded od course stock 280Z R slow as hell. Hum....I ran a 12.9 on my 260z with 280zx turbo swap. My turbo was smaller than stock (blew the original) and the motor had right over 200k miles on it. I was only on 15psi. Swaped the turbo for a 62-1 and walla....11.95 @ 116.7 @ 15psi. Still a original motor. Havent been able to get to thae track on 22psi yet. hahaha

My car pulls 1.0 gs bone stock, (and mine does that much better than stock) has the braking power to light the ABS at 140mph, the cooling to do that every lap for over 20 minutes, and I have over 15 hours of on track racing expirience. Beating a stock Z06 isn't a great feat. They're only 12 sec cars. Try one with bolt ons and a head/cam swap....results will be a lot different.

Actually 280Z's are in the 2800lb range. Ok...so you turn up the boost on the RB25 to match the head/cam car...so how far can you turn up the boost before you need to start running race gas while the Z06 can keep on running plain ol' 91 octane and still make more power. It's a losing battle. Displacement isn't everything, but it sure as hell makes things easier!

nah he showed me it was stock with 1 secret he wouldn't show me....but i proved it has no chance of hitting 200 HP......
