This is one band that I'll accept live music recordings from because they're so good at replicating/improving the studio recording. They're probably my favorite right now. So unique and brilliantly creative. Such a retreat from most of today's music.

And they've got so much emotion behind their performances. They mean what they're singing and it's something that's very deep. Nothing Lady Gaga or Ke$ha could ever replicate.

On the contrary, you have stated that this is "over-hyped" without even a terse explanation. You actually wrote it like someone 12 years younger than you are. Bottom feeders, in terms of maturity, almost always choose this way of expression when they don't like something. Point being - The National are one of the best bands in the world right now. It's a shame that you can't find it in yourself to experience what so many others are through their music at this moment in time. Your loss.

@ranger59 Say it's not your style but come on The National would not be where they are if they were awful! They are just amazing and keep building their fan base. I don't know of a better band at the moment..I thought for second High Violent was being over hyped then I heard it and realized it was more awesome then what the hype was saying.
