The Academy Awards aren't about that. They're for good films that have characters deeply woven into a intricate and beautiful story. It's not about the fucking money or most watched. You obviously have no taste in films and are a good for nothing piece of shit

the oscars are fuking snob fests!!!
films shud win awards fo most watched or most dicussed or most money made....or most liked film....i dont see anyone i know rushing out to by atonment which was to put i simply...boring as hell!
Ruby Dee shoulda been booted out of Supporting Actress and Helena Bonham Carter shoulda gotten in. Dee was good in her five minutes, but Carter in the whole film had the much harder role of making a VERY evil woman sympathetic and likable.
OHH!!! No suck!!! 10 minutes of difference!!! That's a lot of time!!! Surely you were completely desperate because the nominations didn't appear... Noooo!!! Hahahahahaha
where the heck is Tim Burton for Sweeney todd or Helen Bonhem Carter for best actress it was a great movie and should win at least 3 but no Johnny Depp is the only one nominated from Sweeney Todd. No movie comes close to this one not even juno or there will be blood.
Katyń film for people who had a heart who hate violence and who won`t to remember but not hate someone and for people who don`t lie and make battle with history.Win win my dear A.Wajda and prove that if Russion people do not remeber they fault we have memory of our soldiers and U.S.A too
i'll give you loudmouth (not crybaby) but he is a great fucking filmmaker - check out 'the pledge' or 'the crossing guard' and in fairness 'into the wild' is a better movie than michael clayton - it should've got a best picture nomination at least!

You know, Anthony Hopkins was in Silence of the Lambs for less then 15 minutes and he won the oscar.
Sometimes it isn't the length of the performance, but the quality.
Plus, DreamWorks did not do the Oscar push for Carter, only for Depp and technical awards.

bahh.. James McAvoy was robbed. He should've gotten nominated for his part in Atonement.
lovefooledthegirl01 3 years ago 2
Probably he ranked as the 6th?! I supposed.
Nominees can only be down 2 five. So it is.

I think Sean Penn is one of the most overrated filmmakers. His career-high was "Dead Man Walking".
