I'm basing this, keep in mind I accept all the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, on his views on abortion and gay rights. His views are in direct conflict with Catholic teachings. I would never adandon the teachings of the catholic church for political gain.

This is not my personal opinion of what Catholism is, the bishops have been basically been saying the same thing I've been saying. I was taught that when you throw one catholic teaching out the window, you cease to be catholic. This is infallible magisterium teaching, not my personal opinion. And it's also in canon law that any catholic who receives communion in grave sin publicly is scandalizing the church and therefore should refrain from communion. Like I said, not my personal opinion.

You are misrepresenting the teachings of the church. The just war theory has areas that you can dispute with the Pope and still receive communion. Abortion is simply black-and-white issue, not justified under any circumstance. Abortion takes more lives in one day than the Iraq War. These two issues just simply cannot be compared. Iraqis can flee, unborn children cant. And Yes, I do follow all the teachings in the CORRECT context. I listen to my priests and bishops, not politicians.

yes, abortion is black & white, according to the teachings of the catholic church, if you study the catechism. It's really inconsistent for you to say that war has no gray areas but abortion is. War is a lot more complicated, abortion is not. The child is an innocent party. Killing an unborn child of a rape victim only hurts the woman twice. The rapist should be punished swiftly and severely, with a life imprisonment. Woman have more options than just abortion.

plain and simple, when it comes to pro-life issues, not everything pro-life is gonna be on one side. You gotta consider what issues affect the most people's lives, not their pocketbooks. I'm against the death penalty, but I'm not gonna vote for someone's who's anti-death penalty if they increase abortions, it's illogical. When it comes to pro-life, you gotta deal with the most vunerable, rather than those who have a recourse to defend themselves.

I agree with you on the being unconditionally pro-life, and agree with you about society's attitude on abortion. But I feel we do need the tougher regulations, and hardly any "pro-choice" politicians is for making restrictions on abortions. A McDonald's has more regulations in place than an abortion clinic. And another thing about being pro-life is being against contraception. Which is not my personal opinion, but going off of catholic church teaching.

Governor Locke gave a heck of a "Democrats' Response" one year after one of Bush's early State of the Union addresses. Even my father, who's not much into politics from either side, was impressed.
