i have had mine for bout 5 months and i ordered the regular one in 6000k no problems and i even got super slim ballast free with mine for 33 bucks im not complaining plus i have two spare ballast two spare bulbs and my factory headlights under my back seat...
Guys an girls if you do your research on HID kits if you dont have the wiring relay upgrade kit your gonna have problems with only one light coming on or flickering at start up! They go through a test when they are made just as any other makers HID kits do there not gonna send you shit! Check yourselves before posting something you know shit about! I love my Xentec HID have them on both my rides and yes on my first pair I put on my car one bulb wouldnt come on half the time so I did research.
I bought a kit for a friend''s car last year and she has no problem with the lights. Then I decided to purchase a set for myself early this month and they were fine for about 15 minutes after installation...then the left bulb would just flicker non-stop! They're really beginning to frustrate me and I''m looking to get rid of them. I guess my friend go one of the "few" good kits!
I revoke what I said about DDM Tuning. They have the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Okay product but its hit or miss if you're going to have problems. If you have them and something goes wrong, just throw them away and order a new kit from someone else. Worst. Service. Ever. And their new stuff is coming from china and takes WEEKS to get to you. Horrible
@WTRacing hmm... odd. My buddy and i both ordered their 10k kits within an hour of eachother. We had them in 5 days. One of my buddys ballasts broke and they sent him a new one in 2 days.... i've had zero problems. Guess like you say... its hit or miss.
OK HERE it is Guys and Gals. Xentec kits have a high defective rate. That doesn't mean ALL are crap. It just means that MOST are crap. That is why few users say they are great and most say they are crap. I would guess about 75% defective rate. Whats cheap is not good and what is good is not cheap. Lesson learned. Please rate my comment, Thanks
i bought a pair for my 08 Altima. lasted about 10month til one of my ballest blew. bought a spare on craigslist for $20. 3 months later they both blew. Xentecs' are CRAP!!!
How Xentec sells as many as they do on eBay, I have NO idea! See my video on the set I just sent back. I have a set of TRUSS now and am very satisfied!!
I sell Xentec kits, ur the dumbass who bought a kit from 2004...back when EVERY HID manufacturer was having issues. I've been using Xentec since 2006 when they introduced slimballast and they have ZERO issues after 5 years and over 100k miles and 4 car changes.
I sell Xentec kits, ur the dumbass who bought a kit from 2004...back when EVERY HID manufacturer was having issues. I've been using Xentec since 2006 when they introduced slimballast and they have ZERO issues after 2 years and over 100k miles and 4 car changes.
@stock92csm well i bought 2 slim Xentec kits 1 for a 99 Civic and another for a 03 Tiburon... both where fliking a bit the same day i bought them, and on the civic one was blue and the other a blue but kinda pink.. really dissapointed (i bought them 1 week ago)
I ordered my zentec kit without knowing much about them. They are working great, have been for 4 months. The left lamp started to flicker about a week ago, I checked the ground and realized the bolt to the chassis had worked loose. Tightened it up and the flicker stopped. I have the slim ballast bi-xenon kit so maybe they are better quality than the standard ballast kit?
I have Xentec's and after 2 years they run fine..I have DDM tuning on my fogs and they went out after 6 months..and ddm tuning isn't selling Hids anymore
@Flysohighx21 DDMTuning's website says differently. They sell two different types of HID kits, a slim ballast with external ignitor and a regular one with internal ignitor.
these kits are garbage i bought these and he did send me a second set and they were junk too!!!! DO NIT BUY XENTEC HIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! post this on everywhere you caN FIND FACEBOOK , TWITTER, ETC
DONT BUY XENTEC HID'S, THY ARE JUNK. I bought a set of hi/lo beams, they have flickered since day one. Contacted EBAY seller, he sent me second WHOLE new kit. Second brand new kit flickered also. All wiring is done 100% correct grounded straight to battery with relay kit. Finally i had to file a complaint with ebay and am still waiting for a decision. DONT BUY FROM ORANGEMIKA OR 4NDEEE. he is the same seller with multiple selling accounts. He blocks allcommunication through eBay XENTEC IS SHIT
@grandam88 did your kit come with a canceler? apparently they are required sometimes, to eliminate flicker. I read something about one of the wires in your stock headlight plug not seeing the resistance it should. This is due to HID's actually using less current than halogen's. This is what causes them to flicker. That said, i ordered a xentec slim ballast kit a few days ago (not from ebay). Hopefully I have better luck.
@cam94z28 if you read my post i have a relay kit, you don't need that fake canceler crap with a relay kit. the relay kit uses the headlight power as a "signal", then kicks over the relay, that is using power straight off the battery. I have this relay kit cause i have the hi/lo beam kit. Anyway no i dont have a canceller, and i dont need one.People need to understand, these are made in china, with low quality parts. These chinese kits have power issues and will "flutter" no matter what. Get OEM
@grandam88 To answer your other question, it was already too late, they have already shipped. I found this video after the fact. i guess i should have searched youtube for "xentec hid" first. :/ I read in several places that all digital balasts are virtually identical. i guess if the filter section is sub-par, that is not true. The kit i ordered is the slim ballast 5000k kit. It is supposed to have a canceler built into the ballast.
and i dont understand wy you would watch this video, see the comments, and still by Xentec. Lol, let me know how it goes, they will start off with just a slight flutter, after about a week ot two, they will flutter all the time/
@grandam88 also, I purchased from amazon and not ebay, so I will have some recourse if they suck. I hadn't heard of the ddm brand for around the same. That's a bi-xenon kit for $40?
@alldumbasses if u get cheap pricing, you get cheap quality!!! Take a crappy 100000000 watt subwoofer that has a 12 ounce magnet for $20 for example......wonder why it blows when you put 100 watts into it....lol exaggerated a little but you get the point
@djkluffinator of topic but the size of the magnet plays a very small role on power handling when being compared to the actual coil size, former size, and coiling of the coil
lmao.. don't think there was anything in there because when i sat mines on the ground it actually doesn't make a sound.. but ive had mines for the longest... there all xenons.. if they quit early its from something being connected wrong... mostly all xenons are the same.. some companies just are getting over on you guys... i researched 120$ xenons also.. there exactly the same... check ur wiring..
Yeah, after returning several ballasts to the point where I couldn't get the sellers to communicate. I had NOTHING but problems with them.. My DDMTuning ones are awesome they are like 30-40bucks with a lifetime warranty. Xentec=shit DDM=awesome
I have ddm hid kits in all my offroad lights and my headlights and I love them! I mean why pay $200 for a hid kit when for $35 you can get the slim balasts and a lifetime warrenty? Any one who spends $200 on hids is a fool.
(DONT BUY!!) XENTEC'S ARE THE WORST. I bought some from (hyper_x_hid) on ebay. THE BALLAST ARE GARBAGE AND IF YOU GET THEM FROM EBAY THERE IS A 2% CHANCE YOU WILL GET A NEW ONE. ONE IF NOT BOTH WILL BLOW WITHIN (2 TO 3 MONTHS) IF NOT, YOU GOT LUCKY..BY THEN YOU GAVE THE SELLER A GOOD RATING --BUT, TO LATE TO TAKE THAT BACK AFTER 90 DAYS SO THEY DONT HAVE TO GIVE A REFUND AT THAT POINT -THEY KNOW THE EBAY TIME LIMIT-. THEY MADE ME SEND IT BACK AND KEPT IT TILL TIME RAN OUT. U GET WHAT U PAY 4
Dumbass, could have sent it back and got a new one. I sell them on the side and every once in a while, I will get some bad ballasts. I just send them back and get free replacements. I see it held up good as well. Glad to red xentec is still putting out quality products.
i wanted to do this but dont want to throw my money away so I may just sell em on CL for what I paid, mine have a small flicker almost unoticable until your right on someones bumper, I wish I would of spent my money on a better kit ...live and learn,
Im also keeping some OG hologens in the glove box just cause Im not sure how reliable this kit is ? any input on how long your xentec kit/s lasted ? anybody ?
