We need to remember the spirit of the law and the way the game's played - after all, how is an attacker going to get past the keeper without knocking it a bit off to the side? It's just part of the game - do we really want to screw over the attacker for doing just that?
I think it could be argued that is was missing the "direction of play". That last touch and the movement of the player is away from goal at the time of the foul.
