I think it was called a 'budget' or it just wasn't thought about much. As far as the sidesaddle stuff, what kind of Robin Hood was he to not at least help her up or off the horse. She needs to move onto a better forest with much more 'merrier' men!!!

I used to love this show--but oh! Those anachronisms!

Just for a start, Marion is riding a 1920s side saddle. The 'real' Marion would have ridden astride. Only the old and creaky, the 'delicate' or the nursing mothers would have sat aside, and that would have been on a sort of sideways chair.

And why oh why can't anyone get the quill pens right? It's not as if it is expensive to strip a feather properly.
