yeah you got a point its like artistic tunnel vision. And also I think some backpack heads try to play the whole "connoisseur" role, as if they have discovered some PURE form of HipHop and they wouldnt dare ruin their ears by allowing themselves to be exposed to anything that isnt "proclaimed" pure. I am constantly sifting thru garbage or part-time rappers to find some "true music" but I am also most comfortable with my East coast early 90's artists. SO I can understand having preferences too.
