I was introduced to the comic of hellboy when their was a small sample of it at the end of the comic "ghost" that I read constantly. I havent seen the movie yet, but the artistic makeup that was used on the new characters, you can tell the directer from "pans labryinth" The directer seems to have a very unique filming and view on the chracters. sorta like ridley scott does with his films. an acid trip like look and camera filming

The creatures... The elf actually is a Blood Elf(or Night Elf i dont know exactly but it looks like a Blood elf) and its inspired from World of Warcraft... and the Elemental(the guardian of forest) And that gurdian is also inspired from World of Warcraft(and the apparition of the guardian makes me to belive that the elf is a NIGHT ELF) check world of warcraft to see what im sayin!(try some movies) p.s. World of Warcraft is a game!

@Speed4ATL Nah bro, not everything that has to do with fantasy is inspired by Warcraft, its actually reverse, just bout anything in Warcraft is inspired by Forgotten Realms, Middle Earth, & Dragonlance. Play some D&D or read about it & you will see how BADLY Warcraft ripped em off.

Night Elf is a bad version of the Drow, or Dark Elves. Blood Elves or High Elves are rip offs of the Sun Elves, which have a more tan, goldeny skin tone, unlike the Moon Elves which have a paler silvery skin tone.

@Speed4ATL If anything, Prince Nuada is inspired by Drizzt Do'Urden, the Dark Elf, only he seems more brutal like the evil drow. However his appearance resembles the Moon Elves, with the Pale complexion or the Doc'alfar from the Demonwars saga. Whereas Blood Elves are the equivalent of the Sun Elves or Day Elves, with rich, golden skin tones.

However the fighting style of Nuada is PURELY Drizzt, the warcraft Elves don't fight anywhere NEAR to the skill and finesse of Drizzt or drow.
