It's funny how people expect home video from a point-and-shoot camera or, worse, a cell phone, to have perfect sound. This was shot from stage right, and Satriani's sound dominates. Vocals likely came out the speakers on the other side of the stage.

Satriani actually does two solos here too, the first being Jon Lord's organ solo, and the latter being Blackmore's guitar solo. Pretty damned impressive. He personalized it a bit, but it's their cover version.

And they rocked!

I've seen them here in San Diego. Chickenfoot is Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony, and Chad Smith. Basically rekindling their rock careers. Here, they perform a 38 year old Deep Purple classic. The live sound quality isn't awesome here- but Satriani is showing his prowess on a difficult Ritchie Blackmore solo. Hagar can't be heard well here- and dammit- we need Jon Lord on the Organ. They're great- but they will never ever match Deep Purple. Nobody can.
