My opinion on the solo albums: Peter wasn't interested in doing "standard" rock, so he experiemented with styles. Gene had no fucking clue what he was doing, but "Radioactive" is a worthy tune. Paul typically was being PC and fairly predictable - his album sounded a lot like regular KISS. Ace rocked the fucking house and his is by FAR the best of the four. Damn Ace kicked ass then and he kicks ass today.

IMO,(Which I respect)Aces was by far the best solo album of the 4.He's the real rock guy in the band,and that showed thru when they seperated.You can hear on Ace's solo album that Ace had a lot to do with the magic Kiss had on their early albums. Thats not to say the other guys didnt have some good songs on their albums.But Ace won this round.

I saw Ace last night (11-9-09) at The Canopy Club in Champaign, IL and he played this song. I had not heard it since the early 80's. The studio version is good, but the backing vocals towards the end of the song suck. Anyhoo, when he played it live last night it F@#$ING ROCKED. Thanks for coming to Champaign Ace, you're The F@#$ING MAN!

Good song, but the backing vocals are cheezy. Jeanette and Ace Frehley are no Linda and Paul McCartney, that is for sure. Ace's solo album is good, but Paul Stanley's is better. Gene Simmons and Peter Criss LP's were both disappointing, not much to recommend with either of those. Of the four solo albums, Ace's LP does sound the most like KISS.

To me, the songwriting overall is a little better on Paul's album, so I rate it a notch or two over Ace's LP. But I enjoy both albums, my favorite cut on Ace's is Snow Blind.
