  • if you look you can see a jazz bass to the left in his collection

  • I see you like flatwound strings. they just go well with a p-bass!

  • I have to tell you what others have done before: Your style is great. Really feeling the groove in the videos. Any golden tips for a fresh bass player?

  • thank you very much. well i recommend to any fresh bassplayer to listen to music as much possible. listen very closely. that´s important. and play along, as much as you can. surround yuorself with music, and you will get the positive result. i wísh you the very best.

  • You are very good men.... we feel the groove in each of your video!! By the way.... why do you prefer the P-bass and not the jazz bass..??

  • thx man for your kind words. and i prefer the P-bass because of it´s unmistakeable tone and handling. it sounds fatter, dirtier and meaner than a jazz bass....that´s what i like.

  • Fantastic Feel!!!!

  • LaBella Flats. I love them! use the 43-104 set on both my p and j bass. Thomastiks too are great, darker and softer.

  • Thomastik jazz flats.... Carol Kaye told me about them back in 97. She said they were as close to the sound of the 'old LaBella' flats from the sixties. as she'd heard. I put on a set and was blown away. I've had a set on my 50's P bass for 7 yrs now. I have played 'hundreds' of gigs with them and they still sound great. There you go-

  • straight groovin!

  • I've used Rotosound Flats before and I didn't like the tension (too tight) and the string to string balance. What would you recommend between Chromes or La Bella?

    Thanks!

  • i used both and i like both. but i prefer the la bella. they the typical old school sound, very authentic. the la bella sound warmer with a more complex mid range.

  • I told ya haha!

  • excellent!

  • Loved the groove. Very soulful and right on time. Would love to hear a trombone solo over the top.

    Keep up the good work!

  • nice lines!

  • with all the bells and whistles on today's basses, sometimes an old p-bass and some flats just can't be beat. right on!

  • That muted technique takes a while to get down. Nice job!

I can never play with my wedding ring on, it always bugs me.

  • Well, Hey! Welcome back.

  • wow that was an amazing groove! I love those fills and your timing is just as perfect as delightful. I'm not so crazy about the "80's ness" backing track XD
