  • yeah small wheels!!!

  • gotta confess, IMO, the V10 dont really fit in the new cars, only in the 1989-2008 cars!!!!

  • HAHA redbull got owned on this track..thats what yo get for trying to test early then the other teams..cheating scumbags

  • Unfortunately for karun he cannot do a donut

  • that doesn't look or sound like the RB6, sounds like a V10 to me

  • @topgearnut1989 Yeah, sounds like the restricted Cosworth one that STR used in '06.

  • v10 of str '06 sound x)

  • this is the way how he normaly drives the HRT

  • Chandhock never drove such a fast car :O

  • He seems to not know where the corners are looking at how slow he is

  • @music2spicy0 The video was only uploaded in september, dumbass. The description says that was the first time a Formula 1 car had been on the circuit, and at that point the circuit wasn't even finished. Anyone else going on the track would be pretty much the same, as they wouldn't know it either.

  • Why the hell is Chandok driving a RedBull?

  • this is absolutely beautiful track addition to F1. great!!!

  • The Sound is awesome ;)

  • turn16 lol

  • wtf is chandhok doing in the wheel of rb6?

  • track isnt boring hes doing boring lap to check out the circut

  • engine sound is great... who cares about the track? old, new, who cares!... to drive this beasts anywhere must be the most incredible experience ever! I bet the guys who criticizes the track never drove on one... maybe a few with their shitty cars... This track is a challenge like any other.

  • f1 lovers do...todays tracks are crap

  • new track...game>real

  • new track.... grip = 0

  • the only thing that springs to mind is 'featureless'.

  • needs more of everything that makes a good racetrack.

i drive public roads that are more technical than this track

  • It seems that it's going to be a next boring track. I hope I'm wrong and the things will change. The only thing that's looking great for the first grand prix here is that the truck is not clear, so I'm looking forward to the upcoming weekend :)

  • RB5 with v10 engine me thinks.

  • Good call rumble 291. It's an RB5, the 2009 model (BTW Karun IS affiliated with Red Bull). But it's not a Red Bull call that the RB6 couldn't run, the FIA wouldn't allow any team to run their current cars around the track as it wouldn't be fair. I'm interested in how much data from these runs were shared with all the teams? Anyone care to comment?

  • @Molloo3: I Can't imagine there is any useful data from this run.

The asphalt looks like it gonna get an extra layer. The track is extremely dirty. He uses tiers of last reason, no slicks. He drives like his grandma, in every corner slowing down, almost stopping. Of course because of all the workers, but he didn't enter one corner with full inpact. So i wonder if any useful data is obtained...

  • Looks like the track needs another layer of tarmac and the rumble strips arent completed yet? Its an RB5 aswell not a RB6, I was shocked at first thinking that Red Bull would let another driver drive round a not completed track!

  • shitty circuit, i desire tilke's death

  • That engine dosen't sounds like Renault rs27. What is the engine?

  • How wonderful! The track looks boring AND dangerous! Another Tilke fiasco. Again. When Bernie finally dies and someone with a brain and a heart takes over FOA, whese tracks will (hopefully) all become roads through office parks.

  • The more I watch it, the more interesting the track becomes. I think Red Bull will have an advantage in Sector 2 and 3, while the first section is probably good for Mclaren and Renault. All in all, Ferrari could be in the position to fight against the Red Bulls, if they are struggling a little bit. Otherwise it's a mixture of Budapest and Singapore with a very fast first sector (much like SPA - but obviously no character and no Eau Rouge).

  • its wide and quite interesting , also ups and downs , good track dude

  • looks a bit dangerous and not very interesting. just looks too typical and like it was from the 1970's. nothing iconic or modern about it.

  • I prefer the natural circuits like SPA in Belgium.

  • Tilke, you`re fired

  • A typical Herman Tilke track, lifeless, boring, and to much weird corners

  • S-H-I-T

  • @akmnh1 tilke ist best track designer of the world

he build sepang, germany, Abu Dhabi!!, USA (Austin) and much more

  • nice way to collect data ay

  • the thing that annoys me with the new tracks is that they focus on the facilities and being fancy, Abu Dabi for example with that wort of a hotel thing the track is boring durin races this looks he same

  • The thing is, if you play the new f1 game, the track, sakhir is really enjoyable to play and i thin kthe drivers aslo enjoy it. There just needs to be some more overatking. This track doen;st seem bad, but yeah, i think bernie should be assisnated. Why do people like JFK and john lennon get shot but bernie doesn't. It goes to prove that the good die young and bernie is the devil. Bring back the pld tracks, Nordschleife baby, oh yeah.

  • another epic fail from Herman 'I can't design a good track' Tilke

  • why does mr tilke feel that all circuits need a million corners, this the reason why there is no overtaking and the older tracks still reign supreme eg spa, monza and suzuka

  • Extremely boring. Once again Mr Tilke brings us a soulless track.

  • Why is Karun driving a red bull?

  • Why is everyone monaing about how boring the track is, migth not be teh most exciting layout but at least it opens up loads of overtaking oppourtunities which f1 reaaaaaaly needs rigth now

  • Yawn.... Modern day's basic shit...

  • A1-Ring is better :)

  • @Rocket432101 good 4 u

  • The tract is not yet finished; they will be working till October.

  • all f1 track is boring to me

  • @animeanime2 hey! NAS CAR FAN HA....LOWL

  • One word: Boring

  • YEAH BUT SPA HAS OVERTAKING OPPORTUNITIES

  • This is going to be another rubbish circuit with long straights. How are drivers supposed to overtake? Tilke's circuit designs are killing this sport. We need more races like Spa!

  • @demolition80 YEAH BECAUSE SPA HAS NO LONG STRAIGHTS AT ALL........ fail

  • whats with all the fucking street circuits?

  • hamiltion crashes monza 2010 f1

  • South Korea has virtually 0 racing traditions and history. Very few people know what car racing is all about, let alone F1 racing. Quite frankly they don't deserve a F1 round.

  • this circuit SUCKS!!!

this season the F1 will go to alcañiz instead of korea... our circuit is much better than this one

  • i miss the V10 engines!

  • not great

  • None of the modern circuits flow nicely, they're all a couple of bends into a really tight bend all linked by really long straights..

  • boring

  • Thumbs up for the sound of an F1 car.

  • Plain and boring, just like valencia.

Mr: Tilke, please stop designing pieces of boring tarmac.

  • This track seems just as boring as any other track built in 2000 era :(

  • the south korea circut wasn`t necessary. they have so much tracks in asia. suzuka, fuji, kuala lumpur, singapore, aida, and so on!

Look how boring some races are on new tracks like Bahrain. Next year India will follow with another Grand Prix Circut!!

  • the schedule changes every year :( make a track with great sweeping turns that ar banked pretty good (to steep would be hard for ingines) but track looks cool i like the speed here and the scenery.

  • At first glance, this track appears to be pretty terrible. No overtaking zones, just one boring tight corner after another. If F1 were more concerned with putting on good races at good circuits rather than putting money in their own pockets by charging enormous sanctioning fees that are paid for by the governments of these third world countries that these new circuits are built in, just think of how exciting it might be...

  • @speedf1league

South Corea aint a third world country, is it??

  • No, it's not. Does that answer your question?

  • @DrDenisSaralho I wouldn't go there...

  • @speedf1league Showing how little you know by calling South Korea a third world country. You moron.

  • @ChrisLayton Ok, perhaps a poor choice of words on my part. My disdain is directed at the circuit and Formula One and Tilke's terrible designs, not the country of South Korea. And the fact that they keep building new circuits that are horrible in far off destinations rather than using some more of the classic circuits which exist in Europe and North America. That still doesn't make it appropriate for you to call me a moron, but hey...

  • @speedf1league

building new circuits must give some advantage to the FIA guys $

but I also dont understand why make stinking ones instead of good/exciting tracks. :X

  • great! this track seems to be at least as amazing as Spa! just have a look at the beautiful invironment around the track!

    (yeah I m kidding)

  • Not convinced this layout will provide a decent race in the dry, but given the likelyhood of rain in that region, it would do a good enough job in those conditions. Lets hope for rain when the F1 races there.

  • ummm....wtfff, cement CURBS on the sides where normally rumble pads/stripps/zebra zone should be??? ROFL..wtf..cars will be getting FUCKED up as they hug corners, carve apexes, and hop corners....thats going to disrupt the suspension load and geometry of cars as they fly onto them and break their tails loose and cause maaaaaaaaaaany spins and accidents. track is too slow and tight for passing as well other than straits. gg fail no RM.

  • @KuostA ... Thought the same also, but had a closer look and there are rumble strips, they just don't stand out yet, they're the same colour and they're not very high.

  • @Osierus i dont see any. and even if there were, that's irrelevant as they arent in the right places where the elevated curbs are. those curbs are at every apex and on every corner entry/exit outside where cars WILL hop.

  • @KuostA the kerbs are pre-set high, that way when the final tarmac is laid it will be flush with the kerbs. What he was driving on was only one of many layers to come.

  • 1:00 so, go stright on for hundreds and hundreds of miles ahahah

WTF?? F1 car are made for touch 14k-15k-16k rpm!! on this truck the average rpm i think it's about 8,5k - 9k rpm... poors engineers

  • Obviously the driver is not stupid enough to go balls out on a new track. No adhesive & no rubber on a new track is very scary.

  • @scribklu

    plus wet tires !!

  • nice track, really narrow almost street circuit like

  • Don't write of this track as another bad Tilke track just yet.

there weill be a couple of good spots for overtaking, good straights for slipstreaming..and with the local weather it might see some exciting racing.

Don't get the slow left right sections though. But for now. Its not even done yet. So we will have to wait

  • i love the critisisim this is getting, its not that bad, if u want drivers to go on a "real" circuit just put them round Knockhill

  • Such a horrible track, FIRE HERMANN TILKE

  • this circuit is crap. So is the driver.

  • boring... short straights and no fast corners.

  • Comment removed

  • wtf sidewalk on track?

  • way too short between most of these corners, there won't be much overtaking here, it'll be just like Hungaroring.

  • I think the track looks fun to drive. Lots of slow corners. It looks like the entry to the pits hasn't been paved yet and the circuit really looks about 80% complete.

  • Boring track.

  • @SpitsBeaTz this track is amazing!

  • stupid track...

no overtaking guaranteed -.- (just after the long straight - but nowhere else)

the new fail-track after abu dhabi -.-

  • Am I right in saying this is a semi-permanent track? On some parts of the track, looks like there is pavement on either side. Really don't want to see an F1 car touch them if they are. Could cause a huge accident. Also hope that those red cylinder barrier things at turn two will go away when the track is finished. Also hope to never see cones when cars are at full speed round here.

otherwise, looks like we just might get some good racing here if it's built in time.

  • i hate that they build crappy new circuits every year. f1 should use great old circuits like brands hatch, imola or zolder instead.

  • @Krurze maybe cuz the FIA wants races in other countries to

  • @tsukasa2k6 sure, but take a look at the usa: they build a new track in austin for the 2012 season although there are already so many great tracks

  • @Krurze Brands Hatch as legendary as a circuit it is...it is shit for overtaking; there's just no room and hardly any overtaking points its become like a massive scalextric track...

  • @Krurze Zandvoort!

  • @Krurze theyd otn sue them not beacsue the facilities aren't up to scratch for modern teams.

  • @Krurze I agree... Or others tracks like Donington Park... Indianapolis...

And... If they want new circuits... Let's race in ISLE OF MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Is better... :D

  • @Krurze unfortunately, those tracks don't pass for quality eg. facilities and the track conditions, because somehow f1 must only be run on billion dollar track with some nice flashy lights, that provide no overtaking at all.

  • @Krurze hatch is way to short though, your right about the others !

  • @Krurze this is not F1, this is only business and that's the way things work today :)

  • @Krurze they won't make enough money and are too "dangerous"

fuck F1, it's become shit anyways...

  • Comment removed

  • this circuit is half nice, half shit

  • @Jem7 its still only 3 quarters complete, it will be alot grander when the grand prix happens

  • seems to be quite bumpy...

  • soon they can call it formula red bull.

  • @xXxReplicatexXx we said that about ferrari...then they became shit
