What we need to do is spread the word to our brothers abroad ie Afganistan,Iraq,Iran ,Pakistan,India and hope they will pass on some of their good music back to us .Can you imagine wishbone ash influences mixed with eastern ? Please get in touch anyone who is remotely interested ?
@carnwath Yes, i could imagine. I dont know what can i do for this cause, but i know easterners do love good rock, and good metal too. In a matter of fact, i wold love to hear this kind of mix. Remembers me of another day, when i was thinking bout how a mix of flamenco and metal would sound. Like to imagine fingerstyle playing in an electric guitar, followed by traditional gypsy singing and dancing. And let not forget, the amazing bass lines like this other musics from Wishbone Ash. Daydreaming!
Great to hear Germans and other euoropeans loving wishbone ash ,and it is no surprise to me why they do . They are a great band who have always had a unique sound and will always appeal to Scottish ,German ,Dutch ears . Oh and I forgot to mention ,they are English .lol

This band I've seen ten times, first when I was fourteen, now I'm fiftytwo. Andy Powell is the head of this rockgroup, and it's one of the best ever – no question. I'm from Germany and next they will be at the Festival 'Spirit of 66' in Verviers (Belgium) on the 11th of January in next year, while Wishbone Ash, especially Andy Powell on guitar, exist already since 42 years. Congratulations to all, who found that band here for the first time: your opinions are right!

Well I'm 42 and never heard of them until a month ago when my Wife's uncle was playing this cd. I almost fell outa my chair! Where has this band been all my life? Loooove love loveThis band! They friggin roooock! love it!
its not Ted Turner , doesnt Andy say " featuring Bob Skeech" ? .......anyone know? dont agree with the comment about the bass player , sounds pretty cool to me .
what a band ,certainly went a long way in influencing me . i joined the wishbone ash fan club in 1976 and still use a lot of their licks now . Bob plays well with andy , in fact its my favorite wishbone ash line up.
Wow, i haven't seen these guys in a long while, uh 69 at Sky River Rock Festival. They were ahead of their time. Now that I listen to this I can hear influences in my band, in our songs, "Tears" by Medicine Road. Check us out. We're new. Check out our other tune while your at it, "Mother Earth Prayer".
oh man these guys played the local venue in my hometown Barrow-in-furness just before christmas. My dad went but i didn't and i am gutted as fuck. apparently, they were tight as hell, and Muddy was on fire. Why do record companies not prommote songwriting of the quality anymore? I mean, i know they want to make as much cash as quickly as they can. It just seems like they resent bands who acually have a decent shelf-life.
I had learned all the Wishbone Ash harmony parts with another guitar player until I was sidetracked to an original band that went to NY in '77. Way to go Andy! I miss the old lineup with Ted, but this guy does a great job ..Martin's version was just OK in his band, but this was on the money!
Ok dude. There is a misunderstanding here, and I take the responsibility, because my parents taught me to be a gentlemen. I said Guitar Shit in a complementary way. You know how Miles called the great Tony Williams a "motherfucker?"
It's alright, it's my fault for phrasing it incorrectly. But honestly, I was praising this performance. I saw this DVD and it served as a good introduction to the music of Wishbone Ash.

Think this live version lacks oomph, and I think it's 'cos the drummer should "push" it more, rather than apparently following the leads.
