Yes the Fender amps are pretty bright and trebly especially at the low volume we were at.
Also we have warmed up the Silicon Sunface recently. We got in the new Dunlop Jimi Hendrix BC108 fuzzface and it sounded really nice we so made ours a little closer to that, by using a larger input capacitor and volume pot value. It still cuts nicely but not as harsh and trebly.
Wow, looks like Dunlop finally made a solid Fuzz Face. It gets the analog man seal of approval! I'm actually going to pick one up, I've got an old mid nineties Dunlop Fuzz Face with the crappy germanium transistors, not the best sounding pedal. Pretty decent sounding with the Rotovibe though.
Do you think the new Dunlops will be very consistent from one pedal to the next? Mass produced and everything. Though they are hand wired. What do you think?
It's a silicon sunface, not the type he normally uses. BC108's are supposed to be trebly and fuzzy and not clean up well. They are great played LOUD into a marshall though!
Well now we're 5 months futher and now I know who that is you had in the guitarshop!!!!Boy,I missed all those years he played with the Crows.... isn't it a pity!!!!Well I did catch up with Marc the last few months and I love his present music also.I play some tune he made(Currents and Giving)Great song writing he did on the two albums he made... Well he's one of my favourits... thanks for the eyeopener ....
AnalogMike, you seem like such a pleasant fella. Diggin the BC108 tones big time! might have to get around to adding one to my fuzz palette!

God this is trebly. Well , a fuzz is a fuzz after all. I always wondered what is it about Telecasters; never could get a decent sound out of them.
