  • They are going to get their asses whipped. They were already getting their asses whipped. Conference USA would be a much better fit for them.

  • Thank you Mark May. now please shut the fuck up.

  • Texas alienated every single team w/the longhorn network? Give me a break! Like A&M didn't know that the SEC was creating its own network. The truth is aggies got their feelings hurt because UT picked up its own network which was gonna make A&M become the " other school" in Texas even more so than before

  • I'm a aggie and i hate we moved into the sec. And we hired sumlin? Really, we should have got kirby smart.

  • Dilusional aggies...... Mark May is right and will prove the aTm move as a bad move. Aggs are so predictable, just watch, after three or four years the aggs will be calling for a coaching change once again.

  • I love that its all about football. Does nobody think about A&M being the national champs in track the past three years, woman's basketball coming off a great season where they were also national champs, and we have a great baseball team each year. The Aggies will do just fine in the SEC they will be an average football team and who knows they could become a dominate football team with the coach Sumlin now leading them.

  • @Hking247 Great baseball team each year? Yea I guess that's why yall have a total of I believe 5 CWS apperances.

  • @mrtx09 Three conference titles in the last five years. Yea we have a good baseball program.

  • To all the people saying A&M ruined the Lone Star Showdown rivalry(mostly longhorn t-shirt fans): You're wrong. Texas alienated every single team in the Big 12 with the Longhorn Network. Texas is no longer in control of who they play. Their corporate network is. So please don't say that you are choosing not to play us, like you have a say. If you did have the option to reschedule you wouldn't have North Texas, NMSU, NMU, Rice, Wyoming and other powderpuff teams as your non-conf games.

  • @achigurh88 tear tear :(....

  • 6-6 in the big 12... all I can say is good luck to the aggies haha, Hook em'

  • How is it so hard for people to understand that sports move in cycles? Teams are good for a while then they fall for a while that's how it always has been and always will be, no one reigns forever. It is clear that a&m is on an uprise from where they've been. When a&m was on their reign in the 80s and early 90s they played a series with LSU and beat them enough times for LSU to back out of it

  • A&M haters come out of the woodwork! Bottom line- there is too much money and too nice of facilities for A&M to be mediocre much longer. They've been a lul for a while, but this move could be a shot in the arm for a program that is in need of something new. Those of you that act like A&M will never compete must have forgotten all but the past 10 years or so! Teams like LSU, Bama, Oklahoma, and Texas were down pre 1998 or so. It's one of two flagship schools in Texas that is joining the SEC as T

  • A&M should join the SEC for money. As it stands now, they would be a walkover for nearle every SEC team save Kentucky, Ole Miss and Vandy however going to the SEC gives them a nice recruiting edge over Texas: you get to play Alabama Florida and LSU every year. You will be on national TV for nearly every game and not to mention the increased exposure to NFL scouts. They will be much better off in basketball considering that the only team that will be ahead of them significantly is Kentucky.

  • A&M is better than kentucky, ole miss, vandy, mississippi state. South Carolina and Arkansas are winable games. This year A&M is better than Auburn and Flordia. The only two games that aren't really winnable are LSU and Alabama. A&M can compete in the SEC. Plus when they recruit better after a few years in the SEC, they will be at the level of other SEC teams

  • @MrST3A1H With all respect, I love how weak Big 12 teams think they can upgrade to the SEC (closest conference to the NFL) and suddenly become competitive. Why can't you win in the Big 12 now? Don't blame Texas and don't blame Bush.

Call us when you play a real team and win. Do that and then let's have a conversation.

P.S. Winnable and winning are two seperate matters. The SEC is for real. Not a place to build a program.

  • @jasonmudd9 How can you say the Big 12 is weak? The Big 12 South is so strong. Oklahoma and Texas are usually top 10 every year. A&M and Oklahoma State are almost always ranked. This year Baylor was also ranked. All the teams in the sub conference were ranked this season. Missouri has also been ranked this year, KSU is top 15. Currently the SEC has the same number of ranked teams in the BCS poles as the Big 12. Do you think arkansas was as good as they are now when they joined?

  • @MrST3A1H It's all about championships, not rankings. Look at the modern era and tell me: who dominates? The Big 12 South is great. It's the 2nd/3rd best conference in the nation. It's not the SEC - not very close. Arkansas is irrelevant. TAM is irrelevant. Welcome to the bottom feeders club. I love TAM's traditions and it'll be fun to have that and your TV audience be part of the SEC.

P.S. "Almost always ranked" doesn't mean a team is good. It means they have some hype, but do not deliver.

  • @jasonmudd9 How are you affiliated with the SEC?

  • @MrST3A1H Aggies have finished the season ranked ONCE since 2000. How is that almost ranked. The best year in a decade was 9-4, getting blown out by 2 SEC teams. The "best team" this decade was supposed to make a MNC run, and went 6-6.. Oh and you lost four 4 star recruits this week alone. To Oregon, LSU, and TULANE! Someone figured football would be better at TULANE than TAMU. The future definitely looks bright

  • @MrST3A1H Lol year in and year out they will not compete. Just because they've actually been decent the last two years does by no means mean they can sustain and be competitive year after year like the elite programs do.

  • @MrST3A1H uhh... 6-6???

  • @MrST3A1H You get better by playing better teams.

  • Yeah Ole Miss, Vandy, and Kentucky have competition now!

  • Next Year Ole Miss Is Going to be one step ahead of them
