Best video ever. Thank god I can see something pretty outside other than your mug. Now I can listen to your message that is worthwhile and look at palm trees!
Being that this is another fantastic release by the mother of all mothers, I'd have to say that we should call this "Project Wave" as the sister identifier to "Project Ocean".
I live in San Diego, and thus I love G-Wave too! There are so many ways the word "wave" can be used...Wave Bye Bye, Ride the Wave, Wave of Genius, Surf The Wave, Big Wave, etc. Whether it is Google Wave, or G Wave, they are both great in my Southern California opinion.
I can see how that would happen Chris. I think of the quest for the perfect wave. It used to be Malibu on a south swell, or a trip to Hawaii, but has grown into much more as people are now towed into 64 foot waves.
Even Royal Caribbean shows ads for some sort of surfing on one of their cruise ships.
It seems everyone is looking for that perfect wave. Now net surfers can have their Gwave, and it will be good to hear the Beta tester's results of what a perfect ride it will be.
I love Google Wave and hope they don't change the name. For those that don't know, a "wave" was what a communication was called in the TV Show "Firefly" (and movie Serenity), which google staff seem to be fans of as well (with good taste imo as I was the No2 fan on the official movie site, aka "Scifispace"). It is a forward thinking communication just as the show was to me and should stay! I'll continue to call it a Wave regardless.
G-wave sounds good because Gwave reminds me of guava misspelled, and if someone calls you a guava it is sort of an insult. I wonder how many people knew that?
I like the wave part! Fluid motion and renewal and all those cool feelings emerge. Maybe this weekend I will get more creative.
Just click "Post a Video Response" above and use that web cam in your laptop and let us know what you think we should shorten Google Wave to and how we should pronounce it.

It took long enough for someone to take the hint but I did not want to go there. The Google Spot is it but I did not want to offend anyone. LOL

Maybe next time I should shoot my video at Da Bing?
You know, that new search engine by MS?

Let's see. Google owns Feedburner. Maybe this should be FBurner. Another b (FBburner) would be superfluous.
How about GoogleFeed? PageFeed?
Let's get serious.
GoogleNet ?
Google World Connect ?

How about catch the wave? The Gwave.
rocquesbiz 2 years ago 2
Ride the wave, catch the wave, I have brainstormed them all.
But from a real surfer like you that line of thought could start some wheels turning, Thanks Rocque!
