Imagine a front court of Horford/Noah right NOW. It'd be as good as the Lakers and better than Boston's. It's not often a college team has that dominant of a front court and then it translates into two legitimate NBA All-Stars who are top 5-7 players at their position.

Im a UK fan but I proud of the Gators and the SEC representing in 06 and 07. It was so nice not too see an ACC team in the finals. The NCAA and ESPN darling conference has made up for it since Dooks bracket last year was a joke why bother playing the damn thing just pencil them in the Final Four. Much like the '07 Pats are the best football team of the last 20 years, the best college bball team didn't even win the championship: '91 UNLV.

But if you were going to design a great team, it would have an athletic big man with a nose for the ball (Horford), a feisty PF who could rebound and wouldn't care what he scored (Noah), an athletic swingman with the ability to do it all (Brewer), a speedster and lockdown defender at point (Green) and a deadeye 3 man if the D started to sag (Humphrey).

@BUSean: The 07 Pats aren't the best team of the last 20, the 98 Broncos are. The Pats, like the 72 Fins, were cupcake eaters who played a weak schedule. If the Colts and Chargers didn't have untimely injuries, one of them teams would have made it to Arizona, not New England.

Also, the 91 Rebs were really good, but I think that the 96 Kentucky Wildcats were the best NCAA hoop team of the last 20 years, if not ever.

@pats4lifebb: No, but their division was generally a cupcake tray the last 10 years. Also, the Steelers and Colts weren't powerhouses,either. The 1997 and 98 Broncos(my team) were. The 1998 Broncs are the best team of the last 30 years. The Pats, Colts, and Steelers won cheesy titles. The 10 Pack are better than any of those teams.

Corey Brewer's 6'9'' height and length would post matchup problems at SF. Hansborough inside would be outmatched by Horford and Noah. Chris Richard and Marresse Speights off the bench was huge too.

Their front line would have destroyed those teams with their ability to block shots score in the past pass the ball and bring the ball up against full court pressure. In the second championship in 07 Noah played with a messed up shoulder the second half of the season in which he had to have surgery before the draft which hurt his rookie season in the NBA.
